Good morning Gerry , Marcus  Mariota as a feee agent pick up to compete with Rudolph and Haskins to see who could run Canada offense better . Then use draft and free agency to build up roster and fill holes then use next years draft to get franchise QB. What do you think? Should I be a GM in NFL?
Gerry Dulac
12:37
Keep your day job, whatever that is.

To your knowledge, has the USFL, or maybe more accurate ,The Maulers approached the SEA about possibly playing at Heinz Field in 2023?
Gerry Dulac
12:37
Don't know.

Who is the favorite to be picked to replace Colbert as the GM? I’ve heard both Khan and Hunt as his successor? There is also talk of them splitting the duties.
Gerry Dulac
12:37
Might be the best possibility.

Munchak is available. Do the Steelers pursue that?
Gerry Dulac
12:39
They should. But he left the Steelers for family reasons and don't know that has changed.

Have any of MT's assistant coaches been interviewed or even approached by other teams? I find it a bit odd that Teryl Austin is the lead candidate for DC here but nobody else in the league has even spoke to him to satisfy the Rooney Rule requirement. When was the last time another team requested an interview with a Tomlin assistant? My understanding is Munchak was out of his Steelers contract when he spoke to Denver.
Gerry Dulac
12:40
He has never had an assistant coach or coordinator leave for a promotion elsewhere

Can the Steelers win a championship without Dan? Only with Dan Rooney being hands on have the Steelers won Superbowls. While Dan Rooney interfered to draft Big Ben, his son interfered to fire coach of the year, Super Bowl winning HC Arians. is any of Art II sons taking control over the team soon?
Gerry Dulac
12:40
No they are not.

Tomlin has never had a losing season because he has had a hall of fame quarter back. He won a super bowl with Cowers team and its been down hill since. If Cower had stayed coaching with BR as qb he would of won more sbs. As a die heart steeler fan for over 50 years this years team was hard to watch. Tomlin should go Canada should go. It won't get better with Tomlin.
Gerry Dulac
12:42
There is no question this year's team was hard to watch, brutal at times. But I don't think Tomlin is going anywhere anytime soon. Sorry to disappoint you.

Who is the Steeler veteran(s) that has been on the team the longest? Now that Ben is gone what player(s) steady the ship in the storms. Other than Cam..
Gerry Dulac
12:47
That's it, other than Cam, really. Tuitt is one. And that's why I think they need to re-sign JuJu. The guys like him and will follow him. He loves the game, loves to play and is tough as heck. Imagine turning the receiving room over to 11 and 18.

12:47
Would it surprise you if Kevin Colbert made a "splash pick" (I e Pickett, or Corral) with his final #1 choice as Steelers GM?
Gerry Dulac
12:47
Nothing shocks me in this league

12:47
Should the Steelers bring back Trae Turner and Terrell Edmunds. I thought both had a decent year.
Gerry Dulac
12:48
Edmunds was solid all year...and dependable as always. I think they should being him back. The problem with Edmunds is what everyone expected of him as a No. 1 pick. If he were a No. 2 draft choice, EVERYONE would have a different tune.

12:48
Gerry. Please tell me that Steelers are not going to give D Johnson a big contract. He might be #1 on this team, but he’s at best #2 or #3 on most other teams! One knucklehead mistake after another!
Gerry Dulac
12:49
I don't think he's going to get a huge contract, but you can't let everyone go who makes mistakes. His production is pretty good. And, in case you haven't noticed, he's the only WR on the team who can get open.
Tim 'Sweetchuck" Kazurinsky
12:49
Does the team use any kind of evaluation grading on It's scouts? Are there scouts whose "word" on a prospect  considered more "valuable" , than say another's , in the organization?
Gerry Dulac
12:49
I'm sure they do.
Where’s My Clark Bar?
12:49
Gerry, who goes first with their induction speech, Brady or Ben?
Gerry Dulac
12:49
Not my choice.
Bill
12:50
If fans caring about winning is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, given that its a business for them, where to you think Art Rooney, Mike Tomlin, and the players fall on this scale?
Gerry Dulac
12:51
Well beyond any fan, trust me. If you think you want or any fan wants them to win, multiply many times over and you will find their desire to win. You think they're in this for fun??

Overlooked underrated Trace McSorley led PSU to big ten championship he s a winner 31-9 career can run and throw give him a try better than Steelers duo
Gerry Dulac
12:51
Ridiculous

12:51
Gerry.....If you were leading the Steelers, would you believe the best course for the Steelers right now is to fortify the trenches, add some quality to the linebackers and secondary WR and RB, and then use the next couple of years to find a "star quality" QB if you don't think Mason or Haskins is the answer? I realize it can't all be done in one year, but it seems the smart course to me.
Gerry Dulac
12:52
Agreed. They need to address and improve both lines of scrimmage most of all. If they don't, it won't matter who plays QB
Tom M.
12:53
In thinking about the starters on offense next year, I only see 22, 88, 18 and maybe 65 as better than even bets to be starters. I’m sure there will be others and I would like to see 19.  51 and 76 are probably gone. Who do you see as the starters, using “?” for someone not currently on the team?
Gerry Dulac
12:53
I think your offensive sure-fire starters next year are 22, 88, 19, 18, 11, 65, 53
Bill
12:54
Do you think the retaining of a player who consistently  performs poorly, as in punter Presley Harvin, can have negative ripple effect among Steeler players and team moral?
Gerry Dulac
12:54
I wouldn't go that far, but it might cause some to wonder why in the heck are they keeping him.
Ctart
12:55
Mike Tomlin has been very vocal about minority hiring. Do you find it hypocritical that he has never hired a minority OC or DC?
Gerry Dulac
12:56
No more than if he did and some screamed he only hired him because of the color of his skin. I don't think Mike Tomlin has ever promoted a coach based on skin color and never will.
Jay
12:56
Hello Gerry.  Are you concerned with the depth at WR?  If Dionte struggles with drops or get hurt we are doomed.
Gerry Dulac
12:56
I will be if they don't re-sign JuJu.
