Happy Wednesday Gerry!  Is there any update on Mike Sullivan coaching position within the team ??
Gerry Dulac
9:52
The update I can give you is it appears he is being retained in some offensive capacity, which is good, but I'm not positive which. Sullivan is well-liked and well-respected by Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph, but also it would not be fair to dump him after the job he did stepping in as interim OC just because a new OC was hired.

You may recall I asked you why Will Levis went in the second round and you said he was just another “Taysom Hill”. Then after he started a few games said you changed your mind and thought he had franchise QB1 potential. After watching Levis play a full 9 games, I thought he looked klutzy as a runner, and was not a very good passer. What is your opinion of Levis’ potential having seen him play 9 games?
Gerry Dulac
9:54
What impressed me about him was the way he stood unafraid in the pocket and could make every throw. I think his problem is the same every rookie QB faces -- learning to read defenses, having a full grasp of the offense and getting accustomed to the speed of the NFL

Would the Steelers give Spencer Anderson or Dylan Cook a legitimate shot at becoming starting right tackle? Why or why not?
Gerry Dulac
9:54
Not this year. They have their two starting tackles. Then again, I wouldn't rule anything out.

If the Steelers were going to push all their chips in for just one impact free agent, who do you think it would be?
Gerry Dulac
9:57
For starters, they are NEVER going to do that. But, because you want to play that game, I'd say the best bet is Chris Jones.

Since we finally have a GM that won't draft busts in the first round should we go OL or CB with the first pick?
Gerry Dulac
9:58
There isn't a GM alive who hits a home run every time -- or hasn't drafted a bust -- with the first pick.
Holy Moly

Them letting Trubisky go early cut's down the chances of Mason getting a QB job, doesn't it. More competition. The Steelers are making sure Mason is with them in the end. He'll sign this week. I got a feeling in my big toe.
Gerry Dulac
9:59
I'll tell the Steelers to get prepared...

WHen do you think they'll add a 2nd bye to the schedule so the super bowl is before president's day? I'm sure that is the NFL's intentions-
Gerry Dulac
10:00
It's already before President's Day. In case you've forgotten, they did the two-bye thing once before and they scrapped the idea after a year or two

Finally we have podcasts and articles pointing out Colbert's dismal drafting the last five years. What took so long and is Tomlin partially to blame for all the draft misses?
Gerry Dulac
10:00
And who are the authors of those podcasts and articles you reference??

My concern with KP8 is if he can stay healthy more so than if he can play. What say you?
Gerry Dulac

I hear ya

If all of these players "would LOVE to play for Tomlin... why don't they take less than their value to sign here? Are they just all talk?
Gerry Dulac
10:01
They LOVE money more

Good morning Gerry! Do you see the Steelers targeting Tyler Boyd in free agency? Seems to be a good fit and a hometown kid. Thanks!
Gerry Dulac
10:02
The hometown kid thing sounds good, but it has nothing to do with the Steelers wanting to bring him there. If they did, it's because of what he does on the field.

Is Kenny Pickett really that bad?  Or is he broken from lack of coaching and development?  Doesn't really matter why but curious your thoughts.
Gerry Dulac
10:02
He is not that bad, OK

Hello Gerry. Hard question here. What do you think is the most the Steelers would give up in draft picks to get Fields?
Gerry Dulac
10:03
Maybe just a No. 3

If injury prone Holcomb declined exit interview with media.. tells me Steelers need and will pursue an ILB that can cover, and let Roberts mentor Robinson for the other ILB. Thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
10:04
I don't think it indicates that at all

Gerry, Do you think ARZ would be willing to trade their #27 and #35 picks for the Steelers #20 pick?
Gerry Dulac
10:04
You'd have to ask the guy who does the ARZ chats

Good morning Gerry. Don’t know much about the draft this year. Is WR position deep? Seems the Steelers have always found value between rounds 3-6. Any players stand out to you who may be available day 2?
Gerry Dulac
10:05
The WR position always seems to be deep anymore. I will have a better idea after next week when I go to the combine

Gerry, T or F: Having a professional golfer be disqualified for an obviously inadvertent scorekeeping error (especially when one makes as many non-pars as Starkey and I) is antiquated and silly?
Gerry Dulac
10:05
Agreed
Harry Callas
10:05
Gerry are you convinced Mike Tomlin really wants Mason Rudolph back after the multiple times he’s buried him on the depth chart?
Gerry Dulac
10:06
Really good question.
Lou
10:07
Hi Gerry. Do you think NFL teams are too dependent on the QB for success and do you think there is anything that could or would be done to somehow even things out for the defense?
Gerry Dulac
10:08
Lou, they are too dependent, but Super Bowl titles definitely reflect the need for one, which, of course, is easier said than done. The only thing to counter that is having an explosive run game and an elite shut-down defense.
