Good morning, kids, we will start our chat in about 30 minutes so get those questions ready.
10:53
OK kids, lets get started. Go..!!

¿If Benny Snell (RB, Kentucky) is available in the 3rd round would you take this pick?
Gerry Dulac
10:54
No, too early for a RB
Pammy Whammy
10:54
Hey Gerry! With the obvious need at ILB and chatter associated with the draft, does the asking price go up to move up? (Like ABs value dropping a few weeks ago)
Gerry Dulac
10:54
No I don't think so, not any more than usual.

What does "No Offer Sheet Executed" mean in relation to B.J.Finney?
Gerry Dulac
10:55
It means he was signed to a contract

10:55
The Steelers need ILB but if OLB Chase Winovich (Michigan) is available would you make this pick in the 2md round?
Gerry Dulac
10:56
I'm not going to say they wouldn't do it, but I'm not sure what type of grade they have on him. I don't think an OLB is on their radar in the first two rounds, but defensive players are

Hey Gerry! Where do you see the Steelers addressing the defensive and offensive lines during the draft?
Gerry Dulac
10:57
I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't address either one of them, unless they keep all 10 draft picks. If they kept all 10 that would be a huge mistake. They'd just be wasting picks to cut people.

Hi, Gerry - thanks for the chat.  With the loss of Mr. Big Chest, I’m forecasting that Ben will pass for 700 fewer yards this year and that the Steelers will win two more games and the division.  Agree?
Gerry Dulac
10:58
Nice forecast, though I prefer sunny and mid-70s

Can the Steelers package enough draft pick to move up enough to get Devin White?  Should they?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
They could if they wanted but that would be giving up a lot, and I don't see them doing that.

This draft seems to be pretty deep and some highly rated players are expected to be available through the 3rd.  If the Devins are gone any chance the Steelers trade back, staying in the 1st round if the can get another 3rd?  On one hand that seems reasonable on the other how many picks can they actually use.
Gerry Dulac
11:00
The Steelers don't need extra picks, they need to get rid of some of the ones they have. That being said, anytime you can pick up an extra pick in the second or third round you do it.

The great Red Auerbach always put out red herrings before the draft. Have you seen stuff like this happen in the NFL? I remember rumors about players like Dan Marino, but have you seen teams try to mislead about their draft direction?
Gerry Dulac
11:01
Happens all the time. The Browns did it last year w Baker Mayfield, indicating they didn't like QBs with small hands (which he has).

11:01
Another draft question.  Would Mason Rudolph be a trade candidate to move up in the draft?
Gerry Dulac
11:02
No. They haven't even been able to evaluate what he can do in a real game
MadDog

Hello Gerry, the scouting reports on Antonio Brown fit perfectly with his sixth round slot. There was not a whole lot of good to say. He turned out to be quite a surprise. Do you see any players in this draft that you feel could be just as big of a surprise regardless of their current rating?
Gerry Dulac
11:03
That's so hard to predict for NFL scouts, let alone me. If they could predict that, the player wouldn't be a sixth-round pick.

Gerry,  If the TE from Iowa drops to 20 and the two ILB'ers are off the board do you think the Steeler's could go that way?  He is a playmaker.
Gerry Dulac
11:04
All I will say is, do not be shocked if the Steelers take a TE in the first round
Mark
11:05
Gerry, in your honest opinion...How many more Lombardi trophys in the Steelers hands, had the drafted Dan Marino over Gabe Rivera in 83.
Gerry Dulac
11:05
How many did Dan Marino win in Miami?
RT
11:05
Gerry,  Which DB would you prefer at 20?  GA corner seems like a good fit.  Thank you.

Hi Gerry. What's your OL preference -- mauler, road grader, long-limbed waist bender, or dancing bear?
Gerry Dulac
11:06
You just describe Quenton Nelson

11:06
Will Eli Rogers or Ryan Switzer be cut if the Steelers draft a receiver?
Gerry Dulac
11:07
Not both, maybe one

11:07
Gerry, with Sir Large Chest gone, I believe the offense can be more dynamic by #7 not focusing/forcing the ball to a former receiver.  Your thoughts.
Gerry Dulac
11:08
I agree 100 percent. But there is no way you don't miss to some degree a guy who averages 112 catches and 1,500 yards each of the past six seasons.
Pammy Whammy
11:08
Has there been any revelations about the reasons for Boswell's dismal year? Any stories about what he's been doing (differently?) to prep for 2019?
Gerry Dulac
11:08
Yeah, he kicked poorly. No updates yet
Lenny from NY
11:08
Morning Gerry. What do you think about swapping #1 and giving both #3’s and Mason Rudolph with Tampa at #5 to get Devin White. Tampa needs a QB
Gerry Dulac
11:09
That ain't happening. And how and why do you think Bruce Arians would like Mason Rudolph over Jameis Winston?
