Does Dickenson as a first round pick make any sense? I understand his capabilities, but if he continues with injuries and is unable to play games in his first couple of years, will the GM that picked him be criticized for picking a player with injury issues in the first round? I can see possible second round and definitely take the risk in the third. But the risks seem way too high for a first round pick.

It doesn't because of the reasons you suggested. Like I said earlier, he's a first-round talent with a terrible injury history. He will drop because of that. If he doesn't, a team is assuming a huge risk.

Dickerson will not go in the first round, at least, not to the Steelers. And, like I said, I don't think any center will go in the first round.

I don't know if he was present, but I do know this -- the NFL did not allow team doctors to personally check and evaluate each player. And that presented a big problem for doctors who like to conduct their own assessments, not just take the word and evaluation of a neurosurgeon (who is not an orthopedic surgeon). As such, there will be a little more risk and guesswork when it comes to drafting players with medical issues or history this year.
