OK kids, lets get started a little early...plenty of questions already in
Ralph
10:09
How big of a role will Fauntanu small hands play in his NFL success? Very early in predraft Sirius radion had a discussion that it will likely force him to guard. Butong arms at guard cand hinder him.Long arms are great but tiny hands are bad
Gerry Dulac
10:10
I'll let them know you think so Ralph. He may play some guard, but that is only temporary. They want him at tackle.
Carlo
10:10
Gerry - I know the question you will get the most in this chat is, “who is the significant player that B-Mac was talking about?” Saying that….who is it????
Gerry Dulac
10:11
I don't think he knows who it is. I think the Steelers would like to know to whom he is referring
RyanW
10:11
Do you think its possible Payton Wilson starts next to Queen this year or is it more likely he's in mostly on passing situations because of his coverage ability?
Gerry Dulac
10:12
It might start out that way because they really like Elandon Roberts after the way he played last year. But there is no question they will want to get him into the lineup very quickly
Carlo
10:12
Who will be the LT and RT this season?
Gerry Dulac
10:12
Probably same as last year, at least to start the season. Unless they trade Dan Moore.
Mike
10:12
I think Troy and Zach need to start on the OL from day 1. Are they going to try Jones and Troy at both tackle positions to see where they fit better or will they keep Jones at RT and put Troy at LT?
Gerry Dulac
10:13
They want to move Jones to left tackle whenever that is possible. And Frazier will start immediately. Once Jones goes to left, Fautanu will be the RT
SteelGuy
10:13
Do you think people are underestimating Fraziers athleticism a bit? He actually has a higher RAS than Pouncey did and he tested well even recovering from the broken leg.
Gerry Dulac
10:14
They might be. But I'm not going to compare him to Pouncey, who was the 18th overall pick in the draft, not the 51st
SteelersFanSLC
10:14
Is there any plans to add another starting caliber outside guy at WR?
Gerry Dulac
10:15
You never know. But I really the addition of Roman Wilson. Exactly what you're looking for in a No. 2, especially in a No. 3 (if a trade is made).
MK
10:15
I have seen a lot of suggesting that we drafted James Daniels’ replacement at guard. Is there a reason for this? He’s reasonably young - is this strictly a performance issue?
Gerry Dulac
10:15
Not at all. But he is a free agent after the season and I'm not expecting them to re-sign him. But he has played very well.
Ben
10:16
Hey Gerry, Looks like a nice job by the Steelers with the draft. At the same time, is there a WR, CB or D-lineman who you think they’ll regret not taking instead of Frazier? The idea being that they could have found a good enough center in the third. Thanks -
Gerry Dulac
10:17
The idea they could have found a good enough center in the third round is a bunch of you-know-what. If they didn't draft Frazier after not taking Barton, well, that would not have been wise at all. Foolish, actually
Carlo
10:17
Does Pat Friermuth get a new contract this offseason?
Gerry Dulac
10:17
Yes
Danny
10:17
Does Mr rooney get involved with the steelers draft picks or does he let Tomlin an khan do it all
Gerry Dulac
10:18
Only when he would have an issue with the player in terms of behavior or off-field antics. Otherwise, no.
Jake
10:18
Is Cam Sutton an actual option to come back and play for the Steelers?
Gerry Dulac
10:18
I guess we'll find out. I'm sure their meeting with him probably had something to do with that
Sal
10:18
Happy Wednesday Gerry! Do you agree the offense shows a extreme makeover from last year in all aspects (coaching, deaft
Gerry Dulac
10:19
Maybe not extreme, but close. New QBs, a new receiver, new linemen, new coordinator. Yeah, maybe extreme
Peter
10:19
Hi Gerry. Thanks for the chats. What are your thoughts on Mark Robinson's future with the LB room now having Queen, Roberts, Holcomb (injury questions), and Wilson?
Gerry Dulac
10:19
My thoughts are it's going to be tough for him, especially if Holcomb comes back
Tom

I see a big difference in this and last years draft. Last year they attacked peemium positions in LT, CB, DT, backup Edge, etc. This years it was RT/G,C,G, backup ILB.  While they got much better as a team, they aren't exactly players that will make them better.
Gerry Dulac
10:21
They didn't the positions you mention because, um, well, it's simple -- they drafted those last year and don't them.

Successful short quarterbacks in the NFL are very rare. With Bryce Young going 5’10” and 190 pounds, and being a non-runner even, how could the Carolina front office have found him more appealing than CJ Stroud?
Gerry Dulac
10:21
I think the nine-time Pro Bowl and Super Bowl-winning QB has done OK for himself in the league

10:21
What is your post-mortem assessment of Kenny Picket’s talent as an NFL quarterback based on his performance in Pittsburgh? And what’s his future ceiling?
Gerry Dulac
10:22
It's no different than what I always thought about him when they drafted him
Paul from Louisville
10:22
Will they move Jones to LT now?  Can Fautanu play RT?
Gerry Dulac
10:22
I don't know about NOW, but that's part of the plan

Gerry, you have commended Mason Rudolph for taking being dumped on for 5 years by the Steelers like a professional. What if Mason Rudolph had asked for a trade after the Steelers signed Mitch Trubisky as the starter? Would you say “Mason did it to himself” for standing up for himself finally?
Gerry Dulac
10:24
But he didn't Bill. And, after two months since Pickett has been traded, do you have ANY questions that don't in some form or fashion have anything to do with him???
Joe Friday
10:24
Hi Gerry - If the offense does not add a WR - they go with the personnel they have now - do you think they can average 24 points a game?
