OK kids, we're back and it feels like we never left, which we never did. Let's get started in just a few minutes....
10:00
OK, let's get started....

Gerry, any truth to the internet rumor, that you and Eddie Bouchette are coming up with a line of training camp wearables for older male football fans ?
Gerry Dulac
10:01
And here's the first question of the new PG, like nothing's ever changed. The answer is no, it's for younger male fans

Hey Ger. You mentioned Steelers patience might be wearing thin with Rodgers. So if hes not here by the start of OTAs. What happens then?
Gerry Dulac
10:02
Good question. Personally, if I had to guess, based on what I've seen, nothing. I know what the fan base would like to see.
Harry Callas
10:02
Hello! If Mason Rudolph sticks around. Could you see Will Howard getting cut. And spending the year on the Steelers practice squad?
Gerry Dulac
10:03
I could see that happening, but I'm not laying money on it right now
Vince
10:03
It seems Wetjen and Heidenriech are kind of the same players with the same roles. Wetjen will likely make the roster but what about Eli?
Gerry Dulac
10:03
I think Eli will have a tough time making the 53-man roster
Johnny Sinns
10:03
Big question for you. Is Fautanu really an option at guard?
Gerry Dulac
10:04
Yes he is. I don't think that will happen, but the Steelers have always had that in their collective from the moment they drafted him.
Rooney
10:05
How many of the draft picks make the team, I would think 8, excluding Rubio and safety? Thanks
Gerry Dulac
10:05
Seven

Hey Gerry. You have immaculate sources on the Rodgers saga. Who from the Steelers is most gung-ho on bringing him
Gerry Dulac
10:05
The coach who once had him.
Matt from CA

Hi Gerry, the Steelers were 10-6 with Rodgers at QB last season, including quality road wins v NE, DET and BAL, a couple of blunders away from beating the Super Bowl Champs at home. WR corps is improved, secondary is deeper, young OLine is continuing to improve, new offensive philosophy/coaching staff, playing the South from both NFC and AFC, 12 wins seems like a real possibility, why is that being too optimistic?
Gerry Dulac
10:06
It's not. Your reasoning is very sound.
Takoma Tom
10:06
Any movement on Tomlin coaching NE next year?
Gerry Dulac
10:07
I have been told he is done coaching.

It’s time to move on from Rodgers.  When are the Steelers going to draw a line in the sand?
Gerry Dulac
10:07
TT, I'm not sure that is forthcoming, even though I understand your hope.
I missed my mcgriddle
10:07
With Roman Wilson haven’t yet produced and being that we just drafted and brang in a bunch of wideouts/ wr capable athletes, do you think this is the last chance for Rw? Do you see him getting cut anytime soon, perhaps not making final 53?
Gerry Dulac
10:08
I do not. I think Wilson is being considered as one of the five WRs until being proven otherwise. I like him enough to see what he has in basically his second season
Tim
10:08
So glad to be able to continue chatting with you, my man.  Do you see Iheanachor and Dunker starting this year sooner rather than later?  They’re not leading the band at halftime
Gerry Dulac
10:09
It's possible. I don't know that it will be sooner rather than later. I believe the opposite to be true. But there could be and should be good opportunities for them to do so.

Good morning, Gerry. I am of the opinion that it’s time to move on from AR.  Let DA and WH compete for the starting QB this upcoming season. What can it hurt?  If either show that they have what it takes to be the next franchise quarterback then they have their guy. If both fail and the season ends with a 6-11 season what’s so bad about that?  They’ve been stuck in quicksand mediocrity for way too long. Time to sink or swim. If they sink, they can go ag
Gerry Dulac
10:11
Well, I'll tell you what it could hurt -- their RECORD! And I don't think anyone over there in your neighborhood has any thoughts of going 6-11 -- ever!

Gerry: Pickett was an "acceptable" or even desirable 1st round pick to vast swaths of Steeler Nation.  Pickett lit it up in his covid 5th year throwing to an eventual first round WR.  In his first four years, however, Pickett had 39 TDs to 25 ints.  Allar had 61 TDs to 13 ints in his four years and yet has been largely panned as a 3rd rounder.  I think every expert would say Allar has way better natural talent than Pickett.  Am I reaching here given the trajectory of each player in college or is Allar a way better pick at 76 than Pickett at 20?
Gerry Dulac
10:13
There's no question Allar has greater natural ability than Pickett. And it could well be that Allar at 76 will be a better pick than Pickett at 20. But, even though he has bounced around to four teams now, Pickett has two decent seasons as the starter with the Steelers. I'm not sure Allar will get the same opportunity. Maybe

Good morning Gerry, after reading your article the other day about the growing frustration within the Steelers organization over Aaron Rodgers, do you think if he does not state his intentions at least to them by OTA’s that there is a chance the Steelers cut off the “good conversations” they have supposedly had with him and move forward with the QB room they have in place now?
Gerry Dulac
10:15
I know a lot of people would want to see that. They want the Steelers to stand up to him and say enough is enough, even though that is not their stance and I don't expect that to happen. Let's face it, Rodgers doesn't really need to participate in OTAs, but that doesn't mean the Steelers and the new coaching staff doesn't want him around. They do

Good day sir! Now that I have digested the draft the Steelers put together. I finally realized what they’ve been doing with this draft in years past. Making up for lost times with essentially 10 to 12 years of really bad drafts they’re making up in the last four. So bravo to Omar and the Steelers organization to getting back to what makes the Steelers so great building their own and competing for championship football. Here we go, Steelers! Here we go!
Gerry Dulac
10:17
There is no question they are trying to rebuild the roster from within while also sprinkling in some key free agents, which has become the way of the NFL world. They keep getting closer to where they want to be. But, first things first -- WIN A PLAYOFF GAME!
Josh
10:17
There is growing sentiment around other media outlets that have suggested the UFA tender was placed on Rodgers to possibly make him upset and “break up” with the Steelers. But am I dumb to think that you don’t offer a player a basically guaranteed contract and raise if you want him to not come back. This is an NFL team office, I feel like they would have no problem telling Rodgers thanks but no thanks if they weren’t interested in his services. Am I wrong?
Gerry Dulac
10:17
The people who say that are merely ruminating and searching for conspiracy theories. It is not true.
Gene
10:18
How many of the draftees make the team and also will Nowakowski be the tush push guy?
Gerry Dulac
10:19
Seven I say. And Nowakowski might be a little too big to be the tush push guy. He has Connor Heyward by 30 pounds
Mike
10:19
Hi Gerry, assuming that Rodgers doesn’t come back to play QB for the Steelers, who is your early front runner to start game one in September?
Gerry Dulac
10:19
Mike, I think that's a big assumption. It's still more likely he's coming back than not.
