Can you think of anyone who could be considered a prototype of Mason Rudolph if he ends up being a successful QB: backup with low hopes by most of the fan base who ends up exceeding expectations?

Any idea if the decision to run so many plays out of the shotgun is Ben’s or the OC?  I think that also hurts the run game.

Well, let's not forget that BR is the focus of the offense, the $100 million QB. He is paid that because of what he can do throwing the football. To borrow a phrase from Terry Bradshaw, he's a gunslinger, not a mailman. Remember that.

I don't know about reducing his value, but he has been too inconsistent. Big plays one week, nothing the next

There really are none available among the starters, not if you count plug-and-play rookies Najee Harris and Kendrick Green. But I want to see what Buddy Johnson and Quincy Roche look like in camp.
