I think the Steelers are going to improve this year but will that be enough? Are Ravens are going to implode again? Are the Bengals going to come to earth? Will the Browns, well, Brown? PG minds want to know!

Bengals have shown they aren't coming back to earth, in fact, just the opposite. Only thing slowing them are injuries. Steelers are definitely improved.

I don't think so, unless they have their own policy for now. No final date, but they can't play in a game unless they are signed. Nor would they want to.

It has been stated that the Steelers cherish stability.  At what point does stability turn into stale and mediocracy?  This is the longest postseason win drought in team history.  This makes the 80's look good.

Why is it that every recent receiver under Tomlin has turned into a diva (AB, JuJu, Chase, Johnson, now Pickens)?  Is it his lack of discipline?  Or is it just a reflection of this generation of twentysomethings?

Sometimes, not always, it's the receiver in general. They all think they should get the ball all the time, especially those 20-somethings you mention. But I wouldn't put any of the others you mentioned in AB's class.

One thing that Cowher gave to Tomlin was a room of team first players (Bettis, Hines, Troy, Smith, Farrior, Keisel, etc.).  I see very few of those type of players on the team the past decade.  Is that not a priority for Mike?

And don't forget a first-rate coaching staff. But that is more an indictment of today's athlete than the Steelers in general. I actually think they are on the low end of selfish players.

I don't know about most improved, but they are right up there. I like just about everything they did in FA and the draft.

I've been in Philadelphia since the Andy Reid divorce. The fans here were as tough on him as our Pittsburgh fans are on Tomlin. I thought it was absurd to fire a great coach but it seems it worked out pretty well for Reid and the Eagles. As a black man I couldn't have been happier when the Steelers hired Tomlin. But I guess I'm more Steelers fan (I grew up with the 70s Steelers) than Tomlin fan at this point. I would love to see Mike move on to success and the Steelers bring in new blood. Will it happen?
