Can Phil complete career grand slam this week at Pebble Beach?
Gerry Dulac
10:16
I would like to see nothing more.

Hey Gerry! From what I’ve heard, it sounds like DB Kameron Kelly has impressed with the reps that he’s been given. Does he stand a fair chance at making the roster or can we consider him a “camp body”?
Gerry Dulac
10:16
Wow...see previous answer. Just mentioned him before I saw your question. And yes I do.

Do you think Artie Burns is on the team come September?
Gerry Dulac
10:17
I'm not certain about that.

I get that its a lot easier for WR's to run free and catch passes all over the field when the defense isn't allowed to separate them from the ball, but that being said all the articles seem to be about how well the WR's are doing. Are their any DB's looking good out there? Specifically Nelson?
Gerry Dulac
10:17
They are hard to evaluate now. That will come when opposing teams/QBs game plan to attack them.

Gerry Ed never recognized the curse of Cortez Allen on our drafted corners. Do you?
Gerry Dulac
10:18
I don't believe in curses. The good thing is, the Steelers never gave Burns big money like they did with Allen on a second contract.

Do you think Switzer has a better chance to make the team than Eli Rogers?
Gerry Dulac
10:18
Yes, because he does more things.

Who do you think has looked better through OTA's and first day of minicamp Artie Burns or Justin Layne?
Gerry Dulac
10:19
Again, I'll wait until I see them in pads at training camp. Artie never looks bad in practice.

Overrated/underrated: Keith Butler will crack the Bud Dupree pressure woe puzzle
Gerry Dulac
10:20
They keep trying and nothing is working. Even the move to the right side didn't make a big difference. But I will remind you, both Butler and Mike Tomlin have expressed their pleasure with Dupree's play. So has Kevin Colbert.

Gerry, you said on Twitter that we shouldn't expect the Boswell treatment for Mr. Burns with regard to pushing his bonus back.  Did you mean Burns get cut before training camp or paid on time?
Gerry Dulac
10:22
That's what we're going to find out. But $800k isn't going to break them. Not like it's the $2 million Boswell is due

Morning sir..know it’s early yet but can you see Snell as our next Bettis..
Gerry Dulac
10:23
No I can't. No disrespect to the rookie, but, hey, that's Jerome Bettis.

Is James Washington in danger of dropping down the depth chart, given the nice performances being turned in by Moncrief & Diontae?
Gerry Dulac
10:24
Not really. James Washington has looked equally as good, if not better.

The Steelers offense should be strong as long as they don't become predictable like they have in the past. Do you think the defense will have enough "play-makers" to be able to stop opposing team offenses?
Gerry Dulac
10:26
Again, that's what we're going to find out. But they took big steps in that direction in the offseason by signing a starting corner (Steve Nelson) and addressing the biggest weakness on the team with Mark Barron and Devin Bush. Barring injury, they should be drastically improved on defense.

Good morning. I'm always intrigued when I watch the O-line and how good it is. Is it possible that it's just a great pass-blocking line but not so much in run-blocking? It seems as though they have accumulated a ton of rushing yards by Bell or Conner but situational football is key. I can remember games against teams when the Steelers had late leads and the ball and every opportunity to close it out but couldn't on the ground. Then the other teams score and it's always the D's fault, which of course they play a role too but the offense could've have won some of those games.

Hey, you can point to a lot of game circumstances where some unit is to blame, but the Steelers have arguably the best offensive line in the league. I'm not going to quibble with their performance. Might they blow an assignment periodically or miss a block? Sure. But they are pretty darn good.

Does Kameron Kelly have a legitimate chance to make the roster?
Gerry Dulac
10:31
Based on what we've seen so far, yes, but it's early.
Ok kids, that's all the time we have today. Have to get on the practice field. Thanx for the questions.
