Yes he does. Best drill of camp. But that matchup will be no more interesting than any back against Bush.

What are your thoughts on Donte Moncrief? I really liked him coming out of college, but for whatever reason he hasn't made the kind of splash I thought he would.  What are his prospects with the Steelers?
Gerry Dulac
10:15
Well, consider the last 2 QBs throwing him the ball in the NFL were Blake Bortles and Jacoby Brissett. Not exactly Ben Roethlisberger. When you watch him in OTAs and minicamps, he is better than I thought he would be. But lets wait till they put on pads and play the games.

Starting OLB’s in 2020.. Watt and _____. Ola, Chick, Bud or other? Thanks
Gerry Dulac
10:16
Good question. Not sure it will be Bud because, if he has a good year in 2019, he will go for the big contract in free agency. If he doesn't, not sure the Steelers will want to re-sign him.

Hi Gerry, What are your thoughts as to whether the Steelers will go with a 2 or 3 rotational use of their runningbacks, or more ground and pound with their #1 and just use there 2 and 3 for situational purposes? Thanks.
Gerry Dulac
10:17
They won't. It's not Mike Tomlin's history

Hi do you think Brian Allen has a spot on this team?
Gerry Dulac
10:17
It's getting more and more precarious

Gerry,   Has the DT from Alabama shown anything at OTA's?  Thank you.
Gerry Dulac
10:20
I need to see him in pads. Or....."I won't know until training camp and the pre season games."

10:21
Hi any suprise names to look out for come training camp?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
Kameron Kelly, the AAF cornerback/safety is one. He has a chance to make the team. Sutton Smith is not a surprise name, but watch him too. Very intriguing.

Hi Gerry-Why is it so hard for national media talking heads to understand that football is the ultimate team game and isn't basketball where 1 player (like LeBron James) can directly impact the outcome of games with maybe 1 exception: Tom Brady. Or are they simply feeding the appetites of "fans" who don't know any better?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
Pay this guy. He knows what he's talking about
KJ

I really like Bud Dupree and agree with Keith Butler that his athleticism and disruptiveness are more valuable than sack numbers.  That being said, however, do you know if he has worked on improving his hand strength so that when he gets to the QB this year, he brings them down instead of allowing them to slip through his fingers?
Gerry Dulac
10:24
I don't know that he has, but he's well aware of how many sacks he has "just missed" or let get away. He's need to be a finisher and, right now, he's not. But tremendous size and athleticism.

How much do you think that AB's presence actually hurt a guy like James Washington last year? with all the drama that went on do you think that could have slowed down his development with the constant tension in the receiver room preventing him from being more confident? If so, do you think a free minded Washington can explode this year?
Gerry Dulac
10:25
No I don't think it retarded his development at well. But what I do think is players who behave like AB did can have a negative effect on young players who might think it's OK to act like that. That is the biggest reason his absence will be a huge plus

10:26
Gerry, What does your crystal ball say the Steelers record will be after first three games? (Pats, 49'ers n Seattle)
Gerry Dulac
10:26
2-1

How many ILB will they keep and Does Matakevich make the Final 53 ? Thanks
Gerry Dulac
10:27
They will keep 4. And he has a good chance because of his value on special teams
KJ
10:27
Does Trey Griffey have what it takes to be an NFL-caliber receiver?  How is his route running?  Does he suffer from a "case of the drops" or what is the deal?
Gerry Dulac
10:27
Yes, but not with the Steelers. Not good enough to bump anyone from the roster

Last season, the Steelers became Team Turmoil. Something seemed to be missing from prior years. I think what was missing was Dan Rooney. Without his guiding hand, problems seemed to multiply instead of getting solved. I'm sure ARII does his best but the void left by Dan Rooney may never be filled. I think it was very evident last year - agree?
Gerry Dulac
10:28
Dan Rooney's absence is missed in many ways by many people
Ralph LA
10:28
How many roster spots have any realistic uncertainty?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
Always just a couple. I could probably pick the 53-man roster now, minus one or two spots, possibly three. But I won't
Jacque Strap
10:29
From the players new to the team this year, that you have talked to, who comes off as really impressive in their interviews, and why? Thanks Gerry.
Gerry Dulac
10:29
Sutton Smith is one. DJ another.
Ralph LA
10:29
After watching training camp preseason and  preseason games are you able to accurately predict the roster ?
Gerry Dulac
10:30
There's always one or two surprises. Like last year, I did not expect Landry Jones to get cut.
10:31
OK kids, that's all the time we have today. Thanx for the questions. Time is running out for the summer chats. Stay tuned.
