I watched it and have read about it and I still don’t get the crowd negativity toward Wyndham Clark on Sunday. For kicking in a couple lockers? Worth catching some flack for ok, but compared to some other athletes welcomed back by fans who have committed far worse? Strange, no?

Strange, and over the top. The decorum in golf has eroded, and not just on Long Island. Everywhere. What happened on Sunday wasn't as disgraceful as what we saw at the Ryder Cup, but it was embarrassing. I think Clark should be applauded for the way he handled it and still managed to win. Then thanks the crowd afterward

Is the treatment of Sorsby by the NFL unfair?  I'm not defending his actions, but Ray Lewis murdered two people and the league honors him.  Many players abuse women, assault people, and have drug arrests.  Is what Sorsby did really worse than all of that?

It's not so much what Sorsby did, it's more about the league wanting more time to investigate him and what happened. And it wasn't Ray Lewis who murdered two people, but I get your point

Good morning Gerry, Carson Bruener looks like a possibly overlooked prospect. Does he have the potential to be the prototype for a sub package ILB. Don't want a talent misevaluation to happen again like Mike Vrabel.

nice to see Neil Shipley make back to back cuts and at the US Open no less.  A little unlucky on Saturday morning with that crazy wind that lightened up later in the day but hope the trend continues.  Think he keeps his card this year? He's got a long way to go.

He has to play a little catch-up to do so. He needs a couple good finishes. But I still maintain he will win one day soon on the PGA Tour.

Haha, good question. Mike Tomlin was always smart enough and considerate enough never to criticize an opponent, and I don't think he will start now with his former team. But it will be interesting to see how he handles it.

They haven't soured on the idea, but I don't think they're prepared to pay him the amount some people think he is worth

And they haven't had a chance to assess his skillset, at least on the field. He hasn't done anything of consequence. And if he is a "hold-in" at training camp, it will only continue.

Your point that writers outside of Pittsburgh have no clue - I read an online article that suggested Queen has one foot out the door. I rely on your insights and articles and chats - and, should they suggest doing polls instead, resist that idea for all its worth! I look forward to these chats every week.

They have not extended Queen, who is in the final year of his contract, and they don't intend to.
