I'm with ya man!

I’d like to see Tunch in the Steelers HOF. Throw Wolf in to.
Gerry Dulac
12:24
I'm guessing at some point you will see that happen
Jason
12:24
Can you explain why Tampa has the easiest schedule this year and the Steelers on paper have the hardest? This makes no sense to me at all.
Gerry Dulac
12:25
Because of the other weak divisions they have to play this year.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have watched Bradshaw and Big Ben, two HOF franchise QB’s. In between, I also had to slog through the Kordell, Maddox, O’Donnell, Bubba types. While there has been a plethora of articles on who succeeds Ben, I fear we are in for a bunch of down years until another franchise QB emerges.
Gerry Dulac
12:26
All those guys you mentioned took the Steelers to playoffs, three of them went to the AFC title game and one went to the Super Bowl. That's not too down.

Is it reasonable to think the Steelers need at least one to pan out ? (Ingram or Turner) Thanks
Gerry Dulac
12:27
Turner, more so, because he will be a starter
Ryan
12:27
Good afternoon Gerry how has Lamont wade looked and how has buddy Johnson looked
Gerry Dulac
12:27
I will get a better idea today with the pads on. And so will the coaches

Gerry, I know you're not fond of these questions, but will ask anyway,  after this season,if the baggage gets cleared up, would you kick the tires on DeShawn Watson?
Gerry Dulac
12:27
Nope.
MrCJJr
12:27
Xavien Howard has requested a trade out of Miami. Kick the tires or hard pass?
Gerry Dulac
12:28
Who does everyone want to kick the tires???
Gene
12:28
Does Ray McCloud have any competition for KR and PR or is he the man?
Gerry Dulac
12:28
Probably not.
Jason
12:28
I respect you opinion about the all time LB’s so I quickly did a little search and they have him 4th maybe I’m not off by much?
Gerry Dulac
12:28
Who is they?
Tim

All the prognosticators seem to write off our Steelers this year.  Many teams have uncertainties at this time of the year but i like our additions and subtractions to the roster.  Clueless outside sources, I’m rolling with this group.
Gerry Dulac
12:29
I'm not going to disagree with you.

Gerry, I am baffled by athletes, especially football players, who are so attuned to health, fitness, diet, and all other aspects of physical health, yet are balking at vaccination for COVID. Can you offer any insight as to their concerns?
Gerry Dulac
12:30
I'm sure they have the same concerns as the percentage of unvaccinated people in the country. But, as a vaccinated person, I don't fully understand. It's a way to protect yourself and your teammates, not to mention your family and/or children. But that's me.
Gerry Dulac
12:31
All subjective.
Jason

I’ve been a steeler fan since the mid 70’s and I usually have an idea of what kind of year the Steelers will have. I must say going into this year they could win 4 games or 12. It’s all going to come down to our OL. Look at the mess KC was In during the super bowl last year when they were all banged up.
Gerry Dulac
12:32
I think it's safe to say they won't win just four games. Mike Tomlin's 14-year history suggests they won't win fewer than at least eight games

12:32
Although I have liked Mason Rudolph since he was at OSU, I don't see him winning 11-14 games per season. He will win enought to put the Steelers at the lower end of the draft, so that it will take a long time to get to pick #1 - #2.
Gerry Dulac
12:33
I don't think anyone sees him as a QB who is going to win 14 games, but I think he is more than capable of winning 10 to 11. I think he has shown that.
Rick
12:33
McFarland to have a larger role this year? Possibly the #2?
Gerry Dulac
12:33
No. At best No. 3. Snell is the backup
Yates

HI Gerry -  Heading into day 1 in pads, interested in your perspective on whether or not this season's slot corner job is more in the hands of Brooks/Maulet or dependent on Pierre's play on outside?
Gerry Dulac
12:35
That's exactly what it is. If Maulet or Brooks show they can play the slot better than Pierre or Layne can  be the No. 3 corner, then Cam Sutton will remain at CB and either Maulet or Brooks will be the slot corner in the nickel defense. That's what training camp will determine. But, if the season started tomorrow, Sutton would be the nickel back.

Have heard plenty regarding Bush and his recovery, any word on Banner?
Gerry Dulac
12:36
Same. Given full clearance to practice, though they have been careful right now what they have him do.

Gerry, you co-worker, Mr. Cook wrote, yesterday, that the COVID rules for 2021 have a penalty clause that states that if unvacinated players, on only one team, cause a game to be canceled, both teams players would lose their game checks.  This can't be right.  Help?
Gerry Dulac
12:37
I don't think that's right at all. And I'm not sure that what he said anyway.

12:37
I know you don't KNOW, this is a question for your opinion. How much do you think Ben, Najee and Devin will play in the preseason?
Gerry Dulac
12:38
Najee Harris will play a lot, at least until they see what they have and give him time to get acclimated to the NFL. Bush will play sparingly and Ben will play two quarters, just as he always does.
OK kids, that's all the time we have today. See you next week.
