Do you recall a season with so many unknowns/new variables on one side of the ball? 2 of three top RB's are new;  New QB;   3 of top 5 WR's are new (4 if you include Jonnu here).  Only stability is TE & dare i say it - Oline.  Even Oline has two positions in new spots. Going to be fun to watch how AS tries to get everything to gel.

Gerry, I haven't read/heard a word about DeMarvin Leal in coverage of camp.  How does he fit into plans and what is his likely role?

Hey Gerry, what do you see as the big difference between Minkah and Ramsey? When the Steelers acquired Minkah, I remember them talking in similar ways about him playing in the slot, at either safety, etc. Then they seemed content to have him play center field. Does Ramsey have a unique skill set or a more flexible mindset? Thanks

Ramsey does have a unique skill set because he can play CB and safety. They did move Minkah around a lot two years ago, less last year. Ramsey will be a great addition.

Do you think we will wit until the waiver wire to grab another WR, or is Omar looking to trade now?

Looks like our linebacking (ILB and OLB) are about as solid as we've had in years, are you as optimistic as I am?

The Steelers have two undrafted receivers on their roster, Roc Taylor and Montana Lemonious-Craig.  Both have good size. Why exactly do they have do they have ZERO chance of making the team?

To the national pundits, the Steelers are weak at receiver.  But they never know anything.  Do you agree that with Metcalf, Jonnu, Pat and Austin that they are above average,  and maybe top 3 or 4 in the league?

Is Big Ben a top 10 qb of all time?  Some people were saying Favre should be ranked higher than him, but there's no way.  I'd put Ben around 6 or 7, at worst.

He's a top 10, but not everyone thinks so. I'm sure just about everybody would rank Favre above him

Good morning Gerry! Thanks for  the chats! Very worried about B Jones at left tackle. Whether it be his health or his ability to keep AR upright, is this the key to the offense moving forward?

It's not the key, but it's left tackle and it is the most important position on the team

Gerry, how big of a concern is OL depth with Jones already injured, especially if it is one of those nagging injuries that may limit him all season. We saw an elbow bother him all last season.

There isn't a team in the league that has good OL depth. Most teams have a hard time fielding a starting OL. The Steelers actually had the best OL depth in the league last year.

Hi Gerry,   Is there a Steeler receiver in the Wes Welker slot receiver mold? A tough, surehanded, quick guy. It seemed like Brady could pick up 8 yards at will --- at least against he Steelers --- just hitting Welker on quick slants.  Since the Steelers finally have a quarterback who is not terrified to throw over the middle they should take advantage of it. Could Roman Wilson fill this role?

My view hasn't had a reason to change. And my view is I think he was a great pickup on the sixth round. And this isn't my view, but reality -- the Steelers didn't draft him with the idea he would be their franchise QB
