Gerry,  Will Rooney's son take over when Mr. Rooney retires?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
I think that is the plan, just as AR2 did from his dad.

Gerry - Whether people agree with Rodgers or not relative to Faucci, I could care less.  When it comes to playing football as a Steeler, I will root for him and ignore his personal views.  His job is to entertain us through his craft, playing QB.  Go Steelers!
Gerry Dulac
10:41
Sorry for the brief delay.....You are correct. That's all that should matter. And why does anyone care what any athlete thinks about their political views? Why do athletes or entertainers think anyone cares what they think? And the ones who do care are just as bad as them

Is there a world where Heidenreich could make the roster over Wetjen?
Gerry Dulac
10:41
Probably not but stranger things have happened.

Where do you see Benton's extension value
Gerry Dulac
10:42
I see it modest, not expensive. But they are not going to extend him for peanuts. I'm sure it will be a good deal. Just look at the ones they have doled out already

Perhaps the venue for Rodgers comments were not appropriate. However, ESPN did go out of its way to cover him and his vaccine hesitancy. His comments on Tony Fauci are accurate. Tonys comments on scientists who suggested the possibility of a lab leak caused many of them to be ostracized and lose their positions. His diary indicates he knew better.

Will Robert Spears-Jennings earn a role beyond special teams?
Gerry Dulac
10:43
His best shot for now will be proving he can play special teams. But his speed will make coaches take notice, which is why they drafted him.

Appreciate your chats! What is your opinion of the odds Eli #29  makes the 53? And if not do you think he’ll clear the wire for the PS?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
I think Eli's best shot is the practice squad, but you never know.

The season hasn't even started yet, but I am already sick of hearing Mike Tomlin on Sunday Night Football. Can you feel me?
Gerry Dulac

Wait...what??

How does Aaron Rogers' lack of good mobility limit the offense, and ultimately the potential of the Steelers this year?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
Same as last year Bill

How is Jalen Ramsey's $ 19 million salary justified for him to play out of position. What's the drop off is another Steeler's player takes over his role?
Gerry Dulac
10:45
Nobody said he's out of position. He can play both CB and safety, and play them well.
Neil Jordan

Will a rookie be starting on the offensive line by season's end?
Gerry Dulac
10:45
Maybe by season's end.

Gerry: if the Steelers got what is generally expected from the rest of the roster, but got something close to the best year of their careers from Rodgers, Ramsey, Watt, and Heyward, would they win the Super Bowl?
Gerry Dulac
10:46
I think the Steelers are an improved team from last year's division-winner, but I don't see them as a SB contender. For now, I'll settle for a playoff win.

Disappointed that Rodgers would go into his opinionated tirade yesterday. Do you think we’ve seen the beginning or end of it?
Gerry Dulac
10:47
If you know anything about Rodgers, I doubt it.

Gerry: ESPN had an article suggesting Heyward is a Hall of Fame contender, but his poor playoff career could keep him out.  How would you rate 1-3 the HoF resumes of these three.  Hines Ward: 2 rings, 1 SB MVP, retired #2 !
Gerry Dulac
10:49
I think Cam is definitely HOF contender, but I'm not sure he will get in. I've thought all along Hines should get it, but at this point I don't think that's going to happen. After Ben, I think the next HOF worthy candidate will be Pouncey.
Greenwood
10:49
With last year’s debacle around including contributors and coaches in the same vote as seniors candidates, and limiting the vote to 3, I understand rules have been changed. So, there is no doubt that Belichick will be (and should be) up again for that vote. Some have suggested that since Greenwood and Anderson made it that far but didn’t get voted that their time has come and gone; however, since the rules have been changed, they, like Belichick, should be given consideration again without that restriction. Do you think they’ll be given a fair chance to be back I the mix, or have those ships sadly sailed?
Gerry Dulac
10:50
History has kinda shown that ship has sailed, but I hope not, not for L.C. and not for Ken Anderson, who I have always believed deserves to be in the HOF. It's a disgrace that he isn't.

OK, kids, that's all the time today. Practice is ready to start. We will do it again next week.
