It is not great, that's sure, especially on the inside. I think Highsmith has a good chance to be a better backup at OLB than Anthony Chickillo

I have read the Steelers are asking Minkah to do more this year. This kind of worries me.  I believe, especially in sports, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Nobody with the Steelers has ever said that. Outsiders are speculating that, wondering if he will, but the Steelers have not indicated that he will. I'm sure there are some instances where he will have more freedom, mainly because he is now in his second season with the team. But don't expect to see him roam like Troy Polamalu or be moved to corner or anything like that. There is not reason to do that with the other players in that secondary.

As of right now, I'd say yes. Their top 4 running backs -- Conner, Snell, Samuels and McFarland -- each bring a different skill set to the room.

Hello, Mr. Dulac and thank you for the awesome chats! A lot has been made of the players we’ve lost (Bell, Brown, Hargrave, etc.) bit I think one of the most damaging losses was that of offensive line coach Mike Munchak. The offensive line just hasn’t seemed the same since his departure. Good coaching contributes immensely to overall team success, as evidenced by Coach Tomlin’s job last year. Would you agree?

I would agree whole-heartedly. Where Much is and will be missed is in the development of their young offensive lineman. Pouncey, DeCastro, Villanueva, even Feiler, have already been exposed to him. But a player like Dotson or even Okorafor miss out on not having Munch. That's no knock against any other coach. It's just points up Munch's impact on the team.

Hi Gerry, i keep hearing our back up long snapper is not identified yet, and over on an Asked and Answered it was said that they normally protect that identity to avoid that player being targeted before he is needed. Do you think the team has identified their backup and just does not want to share it yet?

Yes he is. Came back to practice on Monday. I believe he will be one of the six receivers they keep. I'll be surprised if he isn't.
