Hi Gerry, Is the "Coffin Corner" punt a thing of the past?  Why don't the Steelers use it more effectively?  Frustrating!  Thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
11:19
No teams still try it, but you see more punters from that spot on the field try the "Aussie roll," where they kick short and high with backspin between the numbers. Same effect, but with more field to work with

Pitt has a chance to break the division wide open with a win this Sunday. Your thoughts on the game?
Gerry Dulac
11:20
Yes they do. And the Bengals have a chance to jump back in the race. Time for the Steelers to follow a good performance with another, unlike what they did following the win in Baltimore.

Do you think the game plan versus cincy this week is to run it more or pass?
Gerry Dulac
11:22
They will do what they always do -- run to set up the pass, pass to set up the run. It rarely changes, and why would it with Bell, Ben and AB? They are not one-dimensional, that's for sure

How do you think Bill Cowher would have responded to some of his players doing the stupid things the guys are doing currently? Facebook live broadcast, celebrating a sack like you won the Super Bowl after only allowing the opposing team's running back to score 12 yards, touchdown celebrations involving several players that seem to take three minutes, a diva wide receiver throwing a tantrum and shrugging off a coach that was trying to talk to him...
Gerry Dulac
11:22
I think he would have tolerated it a whole lot less than what is being tolerated now

If replays are decided in NY what is the point of the refs looking at tablets in the sideline?
Gerry Dulac
11:22
I think they're watching Netflix

Hi Gerry, the KC game was supposed to be the test for Steelers pass D...what do you think of the secondary?
Gerry Dulac
11:23
I thought, and have thought, it's been pretty darn solid.

Hi Gerry - we have not seen the same level of production from Bud Dupree this year that we saw late in the year last year. Is he dropping in coverage more or just not producing?
Gerry Dulac
11:24
I would agree with you, but I'm not sure the reason. Steelers OLBs drop in coverage more than most 3-4 teams, so I don't think that has changed. He needs to beat his man more frequently, I'll say that.

The run game appears to be so dependent on pulling guards, center and tight ends, yet, I rarely see this from opponents.  Would you the Steelers o-line is more athletic than most? Btw. Nix is a beast and should be in every goal line package.
Gerry Dulac
11:25
Bingo, hold your cards!!

11:25
Why do the Steelers always drop into a soft zone defense in the last quarter of a game they are winning? "Bend don't break" often equates to "Let's let this other team come back, get momentum, and scare our fans to death!"
Gerry Dulac
11:26
Yeah, yeah, we see it ALL the time, from every team. Invariably it leads to chunk plays. Perhaps I will retire and do a book on the reasons why, cause I'd like to know why and research the results

After Harrison's obvious effectiveness this past week, do you think we'll see him be a healthy scratch again at any point this year?  As far as memory serves, he's never been a liability against the run, but clearly is known and seen as more of a pass rushing specialist this season...do you think we'll see him used mostly in that role on obvious passing downs/towards the end of games when we're leading or tied?
Gerry Dulac
11:26
No more healthy scratches
Ken
11:26
Should the Steelers try to trade Bryant for a future high round draft choice?
Gerry Dulac
11:28
Players who have been suspended for an entire season and are one more strike for another suspension at least that long do not command high draft choices in a trade.

Love the chat...What player (or players) has been a disappointment in your opinion so far, and who has been a pleasant surprise in the 2017 season?
Gerry Dulac
11:29
Eli Rogers has been a disappointment. BJ Finney has been a pleasant surprise. Finney has been the starting left guard in all three of the team's top rushing performances, dating to last season. Look it up

I thought one of the most significant plays in the game was the reception by McDonald 20 yards down the field. Is he about to pass up James? He could help in goal line situations.
Gerry Dulac
11:31
It was very signifcant -- started the 93-yard field goal drive. It was a big moment for him for several reasons. If he would have dropped another pass, he might not have received another target from BR the rest of the season. I like McDonald. Big, and can run.

Does Tomlin have a solid handle on this team, they seem undisciplined!!!
Gerry Dulac
11:31
They're not, though I don't agree with the celebration nonsense
Troy
11:31
Hi Gerry! Do you think the scariest thing for the Steelers this Halloween (and rest of the season) is the red zone?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
Haha. Dread zone
Nick
11:32
Would you be able to ask Bryant yourself about his trade request?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
Sure
Well, kids, that's all the time we have today. Thanx for the questions.
