Any idea if Cam Sutton stuff of last night actually means anything? Or are people going crazy over nothing? Thanks.
Gerry Dulac
9:47
I'm not sure, but I'm checking

Hi Gerry. Obviously it'll be a few years before we know truly how good they are so far this draft class looks great Claypool, Dotson, McFarland and Highsmith have all looked great when they've played, ur thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
9:50
I would agree. Claypool bigger impact than expected already. And Dotson has played well when he's started. I think Highsmith has shown he's capable of being a future starter, maybe even next year if Bud can't be retained, which I doibt.

how late of a decision can they make to flex Sunday’s game?
Gerry Dulac
9:50
To what?

9:50
Will we see a Steeler trade before the deadline?
Gerry Dulac
9:51
It's not often a 6-0 team makes a trade. Then again, I never rule out anything.

9:52
Any word on the Cam Sutton rumors going around?
Gerry Dulac
9:52
All I can tell you is Cam Sutton is at the team's facility today and attending meetings.

Hey gerry, do you think ben plays past this year if we win the superbowl?
Gerry Dulac
9:54
Good question. I'll try to answer after they win the Super Bowl.

Hey Gerry, do you think we’ll see more of Ulysees Gilbert against the Ravens given his athletic ability and speed? Thinking he may be tasked with shadowing Lamar Jackson?
Gerry Dulac
9:54
No, and he won't have that task. Spillane will play the vast majority of time. Somebody else might be assigned that task, like Edmunds
SteelersFaninPatriotsNation
9:54
Limited snaps I realize for Ulysees Gilbert vs. Titans, but what was your impression of his play? Did it look like he belongs and can be a capable, consistent ILB, especially if either Williams or Spillane go down for any length of time?
Gerry Dulac
9:56
Right, not a large body of work to judge him. At least we didn't see any major gaffes. If Spillane would go down for some reason, UG3 would be the replacement...for now
Ryan
9:56
Do you think we see more of UG3 because of his speed to help cover Mark Andrew's? Or do you think that'll be more of a Minkah/Edmunds role?
Gerry Dulac
9:56
What...are there bonuses for UG3 questions today??
Steeltown
9:56
Gerry, I would think the Steelers will focus on keeping Lamar Jackson in the pocket, and taking away Andrews and Brown. This way the ravens will have to use other weapons and force Lamar to throw. I think our DL, along with the OLB’s, can control the running backs. Thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
9:57
You should be a defensive coordinator.

Great win Sunday big challenge this Sunday offensively and defensively ...I’m thinking of our running game ... James is our horse like to see Samuels or McFarland or Snell more often ... why not?
Gerry Dulac
9:58
You're not going to see Samuels more often, and based on the way Conner has been running, you're not going to see a lot of Snell or McFarland, either, except for a few plays here and there.

Good morning Gerry.  Is Big Ben starting to look for JuJu when others are wide open?  I JJ the new AB??????
Gerry Dulac
10:00
Ben is always looking for JuJu first. But not to the point he's forcing the ball to him like AB, other than that ill-advised throw into triple coverage in the end zone that was intercepted.

Do you expect the Steelers to be active in the trade market?  They typically aren’t but they typically aren’t 6-0!
Gerry Dulac
10:01
I think you answered your own question.

Great Defensive performance last Sunday. Who would you say is the current weak link in the secondary?

Is it just me or did Terrell Edmunds look more sound  these past two games, if less splashy, than Minkah? Has something changed or improved with Edmunds in year 3 (like with Dupree)?
Gerry Dulac
10:02
He has been more noticeable with big plays at key times, including the sack in the Denver game. But I wouldn't start making any kind of comparison with Fitzpatrick

In the Houston game, the Steelers played in the first half trying not to let Watson escape the pocket and he picked them apart. They switched in the second half and things changed. Do you think this will play large into their decision making on how to defend a mobile and dangerous QB like Jackson?
Gerry Dulac
10:04
It could. How they defended the Browns running game was different than how they defended Derrick Henry, and how they defend the ravens and Jackson will be different than those games. They are not all of a sudden going to take away their greatest strength -- pressuring the pocket -- just because they're playing LJ. But they will have to make some tweaks as to how they do it.

Hey Gerry, great chat as usual. I watched that Spillane stop of Henry from many angles and though it was a gutsy play It seems to me that Watt (as usual) had him by the ankles and he was already coming down. Still a great play. Did you see it that way?
Gerry Dulac
10:06
Yes and no. Watt did come in from the left and assisted for sure. but it was Spillane who hit him head-on and made the huge hit than stood him up.

Greetings Gerry -  Over/under if the Steelers win the toss that take the ball and don't defer this week?
Gerry Dulac
10:07
Baltimore has a good defense....they will defer.

Good morning Gerry, Many fans question some of the calls in games that the Steelers take. I get it, and I do as well. But I do love the concept by coach Tomlin, We will not live in our fears to win a game. Thank you
Gerry Dulac
10:09
I agree 100 percent. Fans live in their fears. The players don't, at least, not these players.
