I'd trust Kenny over the middle way more if he wasn't under on basically all of his deep balls... and I dont think it's weak arm either. He's just coming up short - and those get picked when they're over the middle.

Hi Gerry, The Browns are the Browns..and The Steelers will always be prudent and when they spend their money. Have you ever seen the organization be that desperate as the Browns were getting Watson?Maybe you can say the reach on D Bush when trading up in the draft...but would we ever see the Rooneys do what Haslam did?

I am not giving Matt Canada a pass because the offense has averaged 18.1 points in the time he has been the coordinator. But he is only calling the game the way Mike Tomlin wants him to call it.

Gerry, I agree that the Steelers need another good defensive tackle/end as Loudermilk ane Watts are marginal NFL players and Ogunjobi is playing at way less than 100 percent. What s up with Leal? Is he too much of a tweener, not big enough to naturally play DT/DE without adding some much weight that he loses his quickness. Would he be better off long term moving to LB?

Morning Gerry. We see soft zones in our defense that other team exploit multiple times a game. When we go to man coverage we see TEs or RBs take advantage of our LBs. Why do we not see that from our offense?

That would involve trying to throw it to the tight end, which the Steelers have done only 28 times in nine games -- and that's counting 17 to Connor Heyward, who I don't always consider a true tight end. He's more a wing/H-back type

I am venting a bit here but I have coached for years and been a Steelers fan for 30 years. Are Steelers that spoiled that they care more about style than wins. 6-3. All I hear is it sustainable and is Kenny the future. Winning is winning. Kenny is not a finished product. But when they need him to make plays in the 4th he does. For God sake watch other teams. No Ben just around they never appreciated him when he was here. I want Kenny in year three with a cordinator who helps develop him. Here ends the lesson. Thoughts.

That is true. Play action tends to work best when you're able to run the ball, which the Steelers have done the past two games. But that would also involve the QB lining under center.

If the season ended today, we would be in the playoffs at either Miami or Jax, and the three losses we have are all to playoff teams. We all thought the loss to the Texans was bad at the time, but now it doesn't look so bad. In spite of how we got here, we are here. Who would have thought the Bills would be out and the Texans in? I know there is a lot of football left, but what other surprises are possible this season?

Isn’t Tomlin living in his fears if he is not fully utilizing the middle of the field?? I understand that’s where most interceptions happen but you are certainly giving the Defense a advantage if they don’t have to defend between the hashes. I understand some of the offensive deficiency certainly hast to rest with the the QB, but schematically he is already at a disadvantage. Do you think this is more a Tomlin or Canada decision?
