I would imagine they would go outside. See above perhaps

Gerry, How different is for a 3-4 DL to play a 4-3 defense? Does he need to be faster/bigger? Once you play 3-4 you can't play 4-3? My question regarding Cam Heyward not making the Pro Bowl.
Gerry Dulac
11:07
It's a disgrace that a 3-4 end who has done what Heyward has done is not in the Pro Bowl. He plays the equivalent of a defensive tackle, and no defensive tackle had more sacks than 97 (12). Closest was Geno Atkins w 9. To answer your question, a 4-3 defensive end has to lighter so he is quicker

Good Morning Gerry, How do you view Harrison's performance up here in NE? Proof that he's still got it or just the right circumstance playing late against a weak team that had given up?
Gerry Dulac
11:07
I don't think Kelvin Beachum was giving up
Nathanael Hirt
11:07
Will Antonio Brown be back for the Playoffs
Gerry Dulac
11:08
There's a good chance, especially by AFC title game if they get that far
Ike Steelheart
11:08
Hey Gerry, Which college player(s) from the ones that played on Monday would you like him/them to become a Steeler?
Gerry Dulac
11:08
The RB (No. 24) from Oklahoma in a couple years
jim
11:08
What are the odds we move on from Todd Haley after the season? Does it depend on of we win the SB?
Gerry Dulac
11:09
I don't think the odds are very good. You have a problem with that offense that produced the No. 1 receiver, would have been the No. 1 RB and the No. 2 QB in the league?
T. Lazarus Link, aka, The Bishop
11:09
Hubbard clearly had problems with the shotgun snap. Why not bring Jones to the line of scrimmage at that point? Not just thinking about Cleveland; if Finney stays hurt and something happens to Pouncey, could be a playoff issue.
Gerry Dulac
11:10
I wouldn't worry about the third team center and his snaps.

I know its secondary to living a normal productive life wherein he can still walk, but do you put Shazier's chances of playing football again at 0%
Gerry Dulac
11:10
I can't answer that. Idk

Morning Gerry, I know QB is a hot topic. In reality is it even possible, where the Steelers Draft position is, to get Ben's replacement this Draft?
Gerry Dulac
11:16
For one of the "marquee" QBs, no, but you never know where  a team will find one. Brady was 6th round, Montana was 3rd round, Favre was 2nd round. I realize those are exceptions, but you never know.
Ike Steelheart
11:16
Hey Gerry, I like the attitude of the Steelers about resting players sending the message that is Ok to play at NE and the words of Ben about wanting to play vs JAX. Let's face the best teams in order to be champions, agree?
Gerry Dulac
11:16
With ya. Eventually you have to play and beat the best.

You look at all of the weekly awards that JuJu has won so far this year (Offensive player of the week, Special teams player of the week) and then Steelers rookie of the year.  Is he really that good and what can we expect next year?
Gerry Dulac
11:17
I think you answered your own question.
Thiago
11:17
Do you see they moving on from Mitchell and Davis after this season? Davis has kinda underachieved and Mitchell's  not a gamechanger at safety and hes aging
Gerry Dulac
11:17
You're not watching the same game if you think Sean Davis is a problem

11:18
Do the Jags really think their 5 int performance was anything but anomaly?  If they make it to the divisional round vs. Pitt what do you think the line would be? Pitt - 3.5?
Gerry Dulac
11:18
It will be bigger than that -- 6 to 7 for sure

11:18
I though Jesse James has had a pretty good season, any idea why the coaches seem to like McDonald more? I think James's hands are better.
Gerry Dulac
11:19
What they like about McDonald is his athleticism and ability to run. Watch his routes, they are more on the move and down than the seams than James. But Jesse James has been more than dependable and rarely drops a pass.

Please give me your assessment of Bud Dupree.   I have seen some good plays recently, but very little this season.  Seems to be out of position on run plays all the time, but of course, it is not like I study game film.  He does seem lost at times.  What is the truth about Bud?
Gerry Dulac
11:21
I think your assessment is not far off. Too many times he is not a factor at all, especially against the run. If QBs took seven-step drops like the old days, he'd have more sacks because of the wide arc he takes on pass rush. But they don't
SteeltownSmackdown
11:21
How many of the secondary's deficiencies against Cleveland were due to free-lancing (in hopes of breaking the sack record) and how many were a result of horrible safety play?
Gerry Dulac
11:22
I am not dismissing their big-play gaffes, which have been occurring w regularity, but it was Cleveland in a meaningless game
Mtsteel
11:22
Hi Gerry, Happy New year. Do you feel the poor play by the secondary Sunday was due to the "relaxed attitude" for that game or just a continuous issue that will hurt us again going forward? Thank you sir
Gerry Dulac
11:22
See above answer. But it is something they can't allow to keep happening.
Thiago
11:24
I'd say Shazier is critical to beat the Pats, without him KB cant play man coverage against Gronk, davis got toasted. Thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
11:25
You can't lament not having Shazier because nothing is going to change. And, until that final drive, I thought Davis did OK against Gronk. But there is no question they are going to have to do more against him, especially in the second half

Todd Haley injured in an altercation almost a year to the day after Joey Porter was arrested.  Should Steeler coaches stay out of bars after games?
Gerry Dulac
11:25
That's a good starting point...
jim
11:25
I think Tomlin was 100% justified in resting some starters. I am of the opinion that a couple of good hard practices will shake the rust off, thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
11:26
He was justified, for sure, good move. But you don't have to worry about hard practices. There is no such thing this time of year, or really at any point once the regular season starts.
Bill Frazier

Terrell Watson proved himself in preseason that he is the real deal and could carry the offense if Bell is out, and is a short yardage machine as well for tough yardage in red zone. Why didn't he get to fill Conor's spot?
