All right kids, we're going to start our chat in approx 15-20 min so get those questions ready.....
10:59
OK, lets get started...

Gerry, do you think there is a possibility the Steelers could trade a receiver to a team that has some defensive back depth. Most noteably the Panthers and maybe help shore up the pass defense a bit?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
No
Ryno

Percentage chance the following are done in the NFL: RG3, Kap, Manziel?
Gerry Dulac
11:00
Anyone who signs Manziel is either desperate or stupid, and usually the two go hand in hand
Ryno

Draft choice from this year that got you excited about what they may bring to the Steelers? I'm going with Watt because of what the OLB spot has historically meant to the Steelers, plus his DNA is intriguing.
Gerry Dulac
11:00
I agree

In his chat yesterday Ed Bouchette sauid this about Martavis Bryant - "Everybody, and I mean everybody, is on a wait and see basis with him.
Ed Bouchette: It may have more to do with his hip." Is there some concern about Bryant's hip or was the end of Ed's post possibly in response to another question about some other player?
Gerry Dulac
11:01
I'm not sure. You'll have to ask Ed. Not aware of any hip problem, but maybe Ed is. Or maybe it's as you say...a little glitch in the chat setup. idk

Hi Gerry... Ben fan here, do you think with the weapons we have on offense in AB, the return of MB, addition of Juju, Eli, Jesse and "maybe" a healthy LGreen... Ben can jump the 4500 yard mark and have his best season since 2014 or is it more realistic that he puts up similar numbers as the last two seasons where he just gets close to reaching 4000 yards?
Gerry Dulac
11:02
I think all of the above. But the possibilities are endless if all those players can stay healthy and, in MB's case, clean

Gerry, did you happen to see any of Austin Gearing or Rokeem Williams at the Tryout Camp? Gearing almost had his hand amputated a couple of years back. Kind of an interesting story.

No

Seems like Point State Park would be a great backdrop for a future NFL draft. City-scape in the background, rivers, stadiums across the way......Thoughts?

You are an excellent planner. Submit request

Did Keion Adams practice this past weekend? Any thoughts on him?
Gerry Dulac
11:03
He's a longshot to make the team but training camp will provide that answer

11:03
Jerry Do you think Pittsburgh will play more man to man on defense this season?
Gerry Dulac
11:03
They want to. They want to be more flexible with their coverages.

Gerry, Ed Bouchette gets all the glory (and he deserves it), but us Steelers fans are lucky to have you too. You are a top of the line football reporter, but you don't need me to tell you that. Anyway, is Brian Allen the real deal or, I guess, could he be the real deal and start in 2018?
Gerry Dulac
11:05
Thanx. Again, we will have to wait for training camp and preseason games to see what Brian Allen really has, but if practice in shorts is any indication, this guy showed a lot. Hes big, 6-3, 215, can run and, judging from a leaping one-handed pick on the sideline, can catch, too.

Having such a great core of receivers, why do they still want to stick with Hamilton, and Coates, they clearly underperform last season
Gerry Dulac
11:06
Who said they want to stick w Hamilton? He was an add-on last year because of injuries. Coates will get one more chance to show his true ability, but he will be on a short rope

Thanks for the chat Gerry. It was reported on your site that Ben’s retirement talk was legitimate. I was always told, if you are contemplating retirement, then it’s already too late, you should be retired. Do you think Ben will be in it 100% mentally for the 2017 season?
Gerry Dulac
11:08
That was said by Willie Colon, who, in my opinion, got duped too. I think Ben will be fine.

Who is the primary backup at safety?
Gerry Dulac

Robert Golden

Dupree, Heyward, Hargraves, Tuitt, Shazier, S. Davis, and Burns are all young studs. I can see this D becoming dominate again if our rookie class comes through and we add a couple more pieces in the LB and secondary spots next year. Will we be able to keep this nucleus together financially?
Gerry Dulac
11:09
Dominant is a strong word, but, yes, I think they can be very good with the young talent they are assembling

Keith Kelsey, ILB from Louisville. Never seen him play but as a priority free agent and with the dearth at that spot makes him an interesting guy to watch, right? At least for a practice squad spot.
Gerry Dulac
11:11
No harm, no foul. If he gets cut, doesn't cost them anything. Why not?

Since Mike Tomlin took over as HC, the argument has always been, does the Super Bowl XL victory belong to Cowher or Tomlin... most people think that victory belongs to Cowher, though I beg to differ, what would it take for people to realize that Tomlin IS actually a good HC... my question is, if the Steelers win the Super Bowl again this season or next, does it settle the argument and cement my man Coach Tomlin as the 2nd best coach behind the G.O.A.T., Chuck Noll?
Gerry Dulac
11:12
Two Super Bowl wins, three appearances in 11 years would be hard to argue

Did the organization contact Deangelo Williams to let him in on their plans on his future? I know it is a business, but it seems like they left him hanging out to dry. It isn’t a good sign for him when they issued his number to Knile Davis. Seems cold to me since he represented the organization well.
Gerry Dulac
11:12
It's a cold business sometimes

Good Morning Gerry, Tom Bundchen's wife, Giselle, revealed that her hubby had a concussion last season. Is this a case of two sets of rules, TB not informing the team and is it something that warrants discipline if the team knew?
Gerry Dulac
11:14
Funny. Hey, she could be misinformed or exaggerating, or it could very well be he had symptons and never told anyone. YThat's entirely possible

Gerry, looking way down the road ...doesn't it ultimately come down to getting home field and #1 seed in a likely playoff matchup again w/NE. That being said with a soft first half schedule isn't it a must to be at worst 6-2 by mid season and bye week going into that grueling 2nd half schedule. GB,NE Balt @Hous etc.
Gerry Dulac
11:14
It does if the alternative is playing the AFC title game in New England again
