I don't know, but I agree.

Hi Gerry , Do you thinks steelers will Keep Vince Mc.  at is current salary ? i just think he is payed too much  and injure for most of the season
Gerry Dulac
11:05
If you mean Vance McDonald, the answer is yes

Hi Gerry, if the Steelers do not have a first round grade on a ILB or S at #28 do you believe that all other positions are in play in the first round?
Gerry Dulac
11:05
Absolutely

As much as I want to see Ryan Shazier make a complete recovery, I really hope someone talks some sense into him and he “gets on with his life’s work” as Noll would say.  He is a young man with a lot of life in front of him.  I’d hate to see him risk a healthy future.  Despite what he says, Do you think he will play again?
Gerry Dulac
11:06
I don't the answer to your last question, but you should only hope the best for him, especially if that means playing again. That is what he desires. Support that.

Has Martavis been present at workouts? I don’t know why but I feel like he is going to be suspended again
Gerry Dulac
11:07
Well, there's always that possibility. But all I can tell you is he has been a total professional inside that building.

Do you think Fichtner will finally take those awful bubble screens out of the playbook?
Gerry Dulac
11:07
No, not with Bell.
Drew

Would you be surprised if the 4 ILB's are gone when the Steelers pick at 28 if they drafted an OL or DL?
Gerry Dulac
11:08
I will fall off my chair and sell my golf clubs if they take an OL in the first round. It's more than likely they won't draft one at all.
Josh
11:08
would the Steelers consider taking Shaquem Griffin in the 2nd or 3rd round the kid blew up the combine with one hand. ONE HAND. Also why isn't he moving up the draft boards is it because of only one hand
Gerry Dulac
11:09
I'm guessing that's the reason. But the kid is really something.

With the Steelers playing their base defense less and less, do you think it makes more sense to draft a in the box safety rather than a ILB in the first round?
Gerry Dulac
11:10
Well that is a real possibility for the exact reason you suggested. Mike Tomlin told me at the owners meeting they are playing sub packages 75 percent of the time, so players who fit into that scheme are a priority.

Why doesn't you news paper publish any schedules and scores like it used to?
Gerry Dulac
11:10
That page is out-sourced and not compiled by the paper

Hi Gerry, I know there were murmurs about possibly signing Timmons as an experienced stop gap/depth at ILB. Any chance that this could still happen after the draft? Could he help us?
Gerry Dulac
11:11
Ray from CT, I doubt it
Roger From quebec
11:11
could the steelers trade there 1st round pick for a early 2nd and 3rd round pick ?
Gerry Dulac
11:11
They could, but they wont
Jason
11:11
First time here.  You do a nice job.  Anyways, I am less concerned about the pass defense as I am out run defense.  Do
Gerry Dulac
11:13
Welcome. The concern is stopping the run while playing so much sub package football. But they are also concerned about the number of big plays -- 40+ yards -- and how and why they keep happening. Thats one of the reasons they got rid of Mike Mitchell and will likely move Sean Davis to free safety

Does the Burnett signing lessen the need have a 3 down ILB right away? I hope Vander Esh or Evans are available in Rd 1 but if not Could Burnett come in the box on 3rd and Sutton or a Draft pick fill the Safety role on 3rd down?
Gerry Dulac
11:13
Not at all. They want a player, like Shazier, who can play every down.

I was somewhat disappointed that the players created so much drama last year. I thought with the passing of Mr. Rooney they would've been more respectful of the social media content. However, we need to remember that most are still young men.
Gerry Dulac
11:14
I'll add another adjective -- immature. Oh, and one more, self-indulgent.
Miller
11:14
If Shazier were to retire and then be rehired as a scout/coach to the same salary, he wouldn't count against the cap, would he?
Gerry Dulac
11:14
No he wouldn't, but they aren't going to play a coach or scout $8 million a year
Miller
11:15
Have the Steelers ever traded picks with division foes? And would they trade out of the 1st round for two high 2nds?
Gerry Dulac
11:16
They've made trades w division foes. And, at No. 28, I doubt too many teams would trade two high No. 2s to move into that spot.

Flash back.. Did Hardy Nickerson leave for more money, or were the Steelers not interested in bringing him back? Thx
Gerry Dulac

Can't remember

11:23
WR's you could see the Steelers looking at for the mid rounds?
Gerry Dulac
11:26
DJ Chark, LSU. Christian Kirk, Texas A&M. I'd take a chance on Pitt's Jester Weah

11:26
Will they pick up the 5th year option on Dupree...hope not mainly because I don't see that much difference between the 5th year option and the transition tag
Gerry Dulac
11:26
I think they will. They can't keep letting these guys walk. And I think they are going to trust he has a better season in 2018
Miller
11:26
If Bryant has a monster season would the Steelers tag him?
