Yes. To what degree I'm not sure. But they are always looking to expand and improve.

I remember when many teams in the league would have two running backs in the backfield. I am curious what changed that practice? What evolved with offense in the League that made two backs on the field obsolete ?
Gerry Dulac

Two things -- multiple receivers and the flex tight end. In other words, the advent of the passing game. The fullback has become obsolete, basically.

I just got done reading my Chuck Noll book, great read!  How do you think Chuck Noll would do if he was coaching this Steeler team?
Gerry Dulac
11:22
Yes it is -- great book. Chuck was an intelligent guy, he would figure it out, just like he did before. But one of the things Noll sought was self-starters. He didn't believe in rah-rah speeches and having to motivate. Today's players need that today, unlike his team. So, in that regard, he wouldn't have much tolerance or use for today's athlete.

Steelers build through the draft, mostly, while Pats aggressively use FA (and draft) to address needs.  If 2017 is a disappointment, do the Steelers look more to FA for Ben's final couple of seasons?
Gerry Dulac
11:23
I don't think their approach will change. It has been successful through the years. I admit, how Belichick keeps turning over that roster and winning is amazing.

Do you see poncey retiring when Ben Rosenberger does?
Gerry Dulac
11:23
Not really, but only if injuries continue to mount and chase him from the game.

If the trend of the Steelers losing to inferior teams continues, do you see Tomlin on the hot seat?
Gerry Dulac
11:25
No, not at all. Not when you continue to make the postseason and come a visit to NE away from getting to the Super Bowl. But it is annoying.

Is this Harrison's last season with the team?
Gerry Dulac
11:27
I think so but I thought that last season.

does Jack Lambert dislike the Steelers or does he just want to stay away for another reason?
Gerry Dulac
11:28
I think he just stays away because that the kind of guy he is. He's reclusive and doesn't seek the spotlight.

Why does Troy never come around any more?
Gerry Dulac
11:31
That's a better question. With him, I think he's miffed at the way everything panned out, which surprises the heck out of me. One, the Steelers kept him around one year longer than they should have. And, two, Troy is the type of spiritual person who understands life and reality better than any player I've ever met. It's still so surprising to me.

OK, kids, that's all the time we have today. I'll be on vacation until training camp so we will chat again then.
