Typically, he would only play in the third preseason game, and for no more than a quarter, or 1 1/2 quarters. Don't know how long he will be in protocol, but he should be able to play next week. If not, he will play a little in the preseason finale I'm sure

Same as last week -- 7, 84, 53, 97, maybe 66 -- plus veterans who have been missing practice (90, 89). You will see Bud Dupree and you might see Sean Davis

No. He's been hurt and hasn't practiced a lot, but I think they have him slotted for this team.

In preseason games why would kickers ever kickoff into the end zone for a touch back?  Isn't it more important for both teams to practice returns?

Yes it is. Mike Tomlin didn;'t want Boswell kicking into the end zone last week because he wanted his cover teams to get accustomed to the new KO rules

Not at all, and I'm not sure who started that one. Look, he's not James Farrior or Ryan Shazier. But he's better than what they had last year after Shazier was injured

Yes, especially because Sean Davis will switch to free safety, which will be an upgrade over Mike Mitchell, who couldn't run anymore and couldn't recover.
