Gerry - there have been several Steelers players over the years that had careers like shooting stars - fast, promising starts derailed by injury/poor commitment/poor luck (Woodley, Foster, Green, etc.)  Which player over the past 2-3 decades are you most disappointed did not fulfill his full potential?

First off, I don't get disappointed over such things. But I think Foster and Woodley especially have to be at the top of the list.

Hi Gerry - don't know much about DeShaun Phiilips. Does he have the potential to be in the CB rotation/picture or merely here for depth and his ceiling is as a backup?

He's a kick-the-tires kind of guy. See what he has. If you cut him, so what. You only traded him for a guy you were going to cut anyway

What's your best guess on when Sutton plays regularly and who does he replace?  My guess is as early as week 2 and in the slot for Gay.

The Steelers have been very successful in getting good Running Backs, Wide Receivers, O-Linemen and Linebackers on their teams. Why is it that they seem to struggle on evaluating good quality Cornerbacks?

Maybe because the price was better. They didn't trade for Vance McDonald to be the starter, just a complement with Jesse James. If you sign Haden, you sign him to be a starter, not a backup, and that will cost a little more. Who knows? Look, I'm in favor of the move,  but I don't call the shots, in case you didn't know that.

Mike Tomlin has stated there will be consequences for L Bell not reporting. Do you think Tomlin would or should bench him for week#1?
