Okay, so if I'm understanding this right, the Knicks got this haul for trading their 1st rounder: Denver's 2023 top 14 protected 1st, Detroit's 2023 top 18 protected 1st and Washington's 2023 top 14 protected 1st ... BUT in order to get out of Kemba Walker's contract, they had to cough up Denver's protected pick. All that to say, they got 2 mid-late first rounders in 2023 for their lottery pick. Make of that what you will.

I think because of the size of the D'Angelo Russell contract, it may be tough to trade him for value without attaching some future assets. We shall see, it doesn't seem to be happening tonight. But I like Kessler for you.
