I'd be surprised. I imagine their thinking heading into next season will be similar to how the Wolves felt about their team after 2022/23 -- they'll still believe in their players as long as more of them are available more often.

Who could Minnesota realistically target to strengthen the offense and become more of a true contender?

I still really like the idea of them acquiring a reliable veteran backup at point guard -- a Monte Morris or Tyus Jones type player. Think it would be good Conley insurance, would help add some more punch to the second unit, and would open up more lineup options.

So let's say the Olympic committee comes to you and wants you to select the team.  Who is your 12?

I'd need more than a couple minutes to really think that through and to narrow down the options to the best 12, but I'm interested to see how Team USA will handle the roster if a bunch of veteran superstars (LeBron, Curry, Durant, etc.) want to play. You're obviously not saying no to those guys, but having all of them on the roster might mean turning away some rising stars who have been willing to play in the non-Olympic events.

How do you feel about the bulls trading vooch?? I dont think it will happen, but I've long felt maybe they could get a better option to help the team since zach is viewed as a negitive and Drummond is proving he can still be a starter in the league.  I think if he had the minutes he would out play vooch night in and out. Maybe vooch and ball for.....???

Drummond is one of the best rebounders ever and is effective in small doses, but I'd be wary about making him my full-time starter. Vucevic does a lot more for the offense and I'm not convinced he's a significant downgrade from Drummond on defense.
I wouldn't rule out a Vucevic trade for the right return, but I don't think you're getting a huge package for him at this point.

The Thunder are at the 2 spot currently and tied in the loss column with the #1 Wolves. Is this the year I cash in some of my draft pick chips and acquire someone at the deadline?
Luke Adams
1:53
I doubt we'll see a huge splash from the Thunder, but it'd be fun to see them give a pick or two to acquire a role player to further fortify their depth and make them a little more dangerous in the postseason. Even if it's just a Kelly Olynyk or Royce O'Neale type player. They could pay the trade price for someone like that and barely make a dent in their collection of draft assets.

Is Brogdan no longer looked at as a starting, two-way player?  I feel he'd be a great fit for the Lakers but have not heard his name linked to them?
Luke Adams

I still like Brogdon, but his durability has been an issue for a while. We also just haven't heard much about the Blazers in general yet in the rumor mill -- if we get a real indication that they're willing to move some of their veterans for picks or young prospects, I imagine the Brogdon rumors would start flowing.

Do You think, the warriors will be aggressive and trade picks and players to build around Curry or accept that it is done and build slowly? They could in theory trade for Siakama and Lavine(Murray)...

Hedges are boring, but I really think it'll be something in between -- they're not going to give up on the championship potential of the current core yet, but they're also not going to trade a bunch of their young guys in an effort to make a win-now push. I could see them trying to deal some combination of CP3/Wiggins/Moody for a player or two who could help right away and who could stick around for a few years.

In terms of fit and salary expectations it seems like Bull's Williams might be better off elsewhere, and could be a good fit in terms of time-line and defense next to Murray for the Kings. And the Kings seem to be shopping a few of their players. Think some sort of deal could be in the works?
Luke Adams

I'd bet on the Bulls hanging onto Williams, but it's worth noting that they reportedly have interest in Kevin Huerter.

Why do teams still offer so much for Siakam if the chance of him signing an extension is so low?
Luke Adams

Well, we don't know for sure that teams have offered a lot for Siakam (the Kings' reported package of Barnes, Huerter, Mitchell, and a first-rounder wasn't exactly a Godfather offer). But if a team does make an aggressive offer, the thinking is likely that there just aren't many rival suitors out there who will be in position to offer Siakam a $40MM salary in free agency and who can provide an appealing landing spot -- so his new team should have a good chance to re-sign him using his Bird rights.

Thanks for all the questions today, guys! We'll be doing these Tuesday and Thursday chats each week between now and the deadline, so if I didn't get to your question today, you'll get two more opportunities next week.
Have a great weekend!
