Do you see the lakers making a trade? And if so who do you see them trading for?

For now, I'd be surprised if the Lakers make a big splash (ie. something involving Westbrook and/or both tradable first-round picks). I get the sense they'd be happy to do something smaller during the season (Beverley, Nunn, second-round picks) and save their ammo for the offseason, when they'll have more cap flexibility and will be able to trade their 2023 first-rounder too (they'd make the pick on behalf of another team and complete the trade after drafting the player to circumvent the Stepien Rule).

Theres a strong case to be made that Siakam and Van Vleet no longer fit into a contention window in Toronto, given how much older they are than OG and Scottie (and Gary). Why not trade them for young talent that fits the window and do a quick 2yr retool? Meanwhile GTJ is the only raptor who can shoot and they want to trade him joy

I doubt Ujiri and Webster are thinking that strictly about the team's "window." When the Raptors won in 2019, many of their key pieces (Lowry, Gasol, Green) were all well into their 30s. VanVleet and Siakam can still be part of the next contending team in Toronto. I also don't think this is the time to trade VanVleet, while he's struggling and free agency is around the corner. The return would be underwhelming.
