I believe you still have a suspension to serve when you get back on an NBA roster, so a 10-day contract probably wouldn't make much sense, as you'd likely have to miss all the games during those 10 days.

You mentioned the buyout market, do you have any names that  you hear may become available?
Luke Adams
12:32
It's pretty easy to identify buyout candidates: Guys on big expiring contracts who don't play much or aren't fitting in with their current teams are the obvious ones, especially if their salaries are big. Guys like Jabari Parker, Enes Kanter, Kenneth Faried, Robin Lopez, Zach Randolph, Kosta Koufos, etc. all fit this bill. Some might be traded, but some will almost definitely be bought out.
Kyle
12:32
Biggest name that surfaces in reputable sourced trade rumors between now and the deadline not named Anthony Davis is.....?
Luke Adams
12:33
My tentative answer is Marc Gasol, though I'll hold out hope that a surprise big-name player gets dealt in the next three weeks (like Blake Griffin last season around this time).

12:34
Do the Bucks need to make a move or are we set with our line up?
Luke Adams
12:35
Would be surprised if the Bucks do anything significant. I think the George Hill deal might have been their "big" move. Something smaller-scale (maybe using Jason Smith's expiring contract) is still a possibility though.

Thoughts on what the Knicks front office has done since hiring GM Scott Perry on July 14th, 2017?
Luke Adams
12:38
They've been better about being patient with the rebuild and hanging onto their future first-round picks, which is a positive. At the same time, some of their smaller moves haven't been as savvy. The way Trier almost immediately parlayed a two-way contract into a $3MM+ salary didn't reflect particularly well on the front office. He's earning more this season than most first-rounders.

Kings trades?  One, two or none?
Luke Adams
12:38
In order of likelihood: 1, 2, 0.
12:39
It'd be irresponsible for them not to try to use up the rest of their cap room, if only to get a draft pick or two. I expect they'll try to do something more than though, ideally getting a SF that could step in right away.

Carter to the raps after he is bought out to finish his career where it all started? They could use another shooter off the bench
Luke Adams
12:40
I don't really think the Hawks plan to buy him out. It may seem unusual to see him in that situation when we're so accustomed to seeing aging vets chase championships, but it seems like he enjoys mentoring the young guys and the Hawks like having him around as a veteran leader.
Would be great to see him back in Toronto for one last season if he plays next year though.
Available PGs
12:41
Of the available PGs, who has the best career at the end of the day: Markelle Fultz or Dennis Smith Jr.?
Luke Adams
12:42
DSJ. He's actually played pretty well this year for a 21-year-old. I don't have any expectations for Fultz at this point, but I hope he proves me wrong.
Nathan
12:42
Even though they were found innocent of any wrong doing, do you think the Cavs did the McCaw deal just to sort of mess with the Warriors, even a little?
Luke Adams
12:42
I bet they did. Which is very petty, but I don't mind it.

How can the Pelicans get better with guys like Ian Clark, Wes Johnson, and Diallo fallen out of the rotation? Is their a small move(s) they could make without sacrificing another 1st whether it’s protected or not?
Luke Adams
12:44
A first-rounder + Solomon Hill seems like their most obvious package. If they don't want to put a first-rounder on the table or if they want to make a separate deal, Julius Randle could be a trade chip -- as great as he's been, I don't see how they can play him, Mirotic, and AD at the same time in the playoffs, so he's the most expendable of their top 4-5 guys.
Jackson
12:44
Do you think the Celtics will go after anyone.
Luke Adams
12:46
Not expecting much activity from them. They want to hold all their best assets for a run at AD, and trading someone like Rozier probably wouldn't make them better this season.
Brian
12:46
I feel like trading Otto Porter isn't synonymous with tanking for the Wizards. I can think of ways the Wizards can improve their financial position yet not get worse by trading him. What do you think?
Luke Adams
12:48
That might technically be possible. I just don't think the Wizards will seriously consider it during the season. Maybe in the summer, but it's hard to negotiate in-season trades for players earning $25MM-ish, especially between two teams who are presumably hoping to make the playoffs.
8th Seed in the West
12:48
Will be ?
Luke Adams
12:49
I'll say the Spurs, but I'm not at all confident about it.
(As in, they'll probably end up a little higher.)
Boogie’s defense
12:50
For all his skill on Offense, Boogie’s shortcomings on defense seem to get over-looked.  He has zero lateral quickness and jogs back on defense like Snack O’Meal did in his Lakers days.
Luke Adams
12:50
Yeah, this will be the key thing to watch in Golden State. Moving around and chasing guys on defense will probably put more pressure on his Achilles than playing offense will. I'll be interested to see how often he plays alongside Durant/Draymond and how much they have to help him out.
Sean
12:51
Not sure why OKC or Philly should not be in on Terrence Ross seems exactly what they need a guy who can score on the 2nd unit
Luke Adams
12:52
Ross would be a great fit for a ton of contenders. He actually seems like the kind of guy who could be a worth a first-round pick if the Magic are willing to give him up (and if they're open to taking on a little 2019/20 money).
Dwight Howard
12:52
Do u see the Wizards buying out Dwight?  I can’t imagine a team would trade for him.
Luke Adams
12:54
Yeah, no one's giving up anything for him. I think the Wizards will probably hang onto him and see if he can get healthy down the stretch. He's got a player option for next season that would hit the Wizards' cap if they cut him, so negotiating a buyout might be tricky.
Pistons
12:54
Do you think the Pistons are able to make any deals before the deadline and if so what does that look like?  Do you believe Andre Drummond gets moved or is he a Piston for a while?
Luke Adams
12:55
The Pistons are another one of those Eastern teams whose trade deadline could look a lot different depending on whether they decide they're all-in on their playoff push. They have some interesting periphery pieces (Reggie Bullock, Ish Smith, etc.) who would be of interest to contenders if they sell, but it seems like ownership would much rather get the eighth seed.
12:56
I'd expect Drummond to be a Piston at least through this season, if not longer. His value isn't overly high right now.
Intense Nets Fan
12:56
Nets will be what seed? Any moves at the deadline?
Luke Adams
12:57
I've been impressed by the Nets. Think they could easily end up holding the sixth or seventh seed in the East. I'm also very curious to see what their deadline plans are. Moving an expiring contract like Carroll or Faried for an upgrade might be pretty easy if they take back a multiyear contract. Even after extending Dinwiddie, they could take back some 2019/20 money and still have enough for a max free agent this summer.
Hawks
12:58
What kind of package are hawks looking for bazemore, dedmon, len, lin, plumlee etc? Any chance they trade Taurean Prince?
