Honestly, both offers feel like too much for me unless the first-rounder is solidly protected. Vucevic has been awesome offensively this season, but he's not a great defender and he's not the sort of player you can slot in seamlessly on any roster (the first few years in Chicago were up and down). I expect any contenders with interest in him will be wary about overpaying.

Cavs, Celtics, Knicks, Magic, and Bucks feel like pretty safe bets to end up in the top six. A lot of variables could determine the sixth spot (what happens with Butler, what the Hawks do at the trade deadline, can the Sixers stay healthy, etc.). I like the Heat if Butler stays in Miami and stays healthy/happy.

That would leave the Pacers, the Hawks, the Sixers, and... let's say the Pistons for the play-in spots. I'm not a huge believer in the current version of the Pistons, especially without Ivey, but the Wizards, Hornets, Raptors, and Nets don't look like contenders and the Bulls have gotta come to their senses at some point and prioritize their draft pick.

What about Malcolm Brogdon? Seems like a bunch of teams can use him off the bench. Why is he still on the Wizards?

His $22.5MM cap hit is problematic -- it's hard to match that number without giving up a useful player. If you're giving up a decent player in your package, you're probably not giving up any draft assets of value for a guy on an expiring contract like Brogdon. And without those draft assets (and with little use for a decent player unless he's young enough to be a long-term keeper), the Wizards have little reason to move him.
