Probably. There would likely be a contender out there who would value his offense off the bench. He's on a vet minimum deal, so his salary wouldn't be an issue.

Traditionally the deadline before a supposed weak draft, does it mean more or less trades? As in, are buyers more likely to give up a pick because they feel it would be hard to get a quality prospect in the draft anyway, or are sellers not wanting to make trades because they are worried about the return? Does this increase the chance that sellers will be asking for picks farther down the road? It seems the Pacers had an easier time giving up the two 24 picks for Siakam.

Put it this way -- I think if you're looking to accumulate assets, you're probably looking for firsters beyond this year. There is certainly no consensus on who the top picks will be in the draft. Contrast that with last year, when it was set in stone that VW would be the first pick and Scoot, Miller, Thompson brothers would go off the board soon after. I don't think it will affect the trade market, I just see non-contenders trying to stock up for future drafts.
