do you forsee the Kings acquiring anyone?

Somewhat related questions here... I expect it to be a fairly quiet deadline for the Kings. They'd be willing to talk about a guy like Richaun Holmes, but he's a negative asset on his current deal, so they're not getting anything of value for him unless they attach a draft pick or two. As for Mitchell, I haven't gotten the sense that the Kings want to move him, even though his playing time has dipped this season -- he's still a great defender and his shooting numbers have risen. Maybe they'd listen to inquiries, but I doubt you're getting him on the cheap.

Do you think Rajon Rondo will get one more chance this season, or is he done?

If we don't see Rondo again, I'd be a little surprised, since I figured his exit from the NBA would have a little more fanfare. He's the type of player I could see a contender adding as its 15th man down the stretch for his postseason experience.

What is the direction of the Wizards moving forward? Should they just trade Beal and rebuild or clinging onto the current roster?

I'm not the type to typically jump to "tear it down!" too quickly, but it's a tempting route to go for the Wizards. I remember talking in these chats a year ago about my apprehension about signing Beal to such an expensive contract with so little around him. Now they're talking about locking in Kuzma and Porzingis too, despite the fact that they're currently a play-in contender at best. I don't get the thinking there and can't help but thinking they'd better off hitting the reset button and trading all three. They won't do it, but it might be a more viable path to eventual championship contention.

Thanks again for all your questions today, guys. There were a lot of good ones I didn't get to. We'll be back on Thursday with another live chat hosted by Dana Gauruder.
