THT

I'm sure the Lakers would probably want more for me, but would swapping me for Kelly Olynyk make sense? Detroit could use more playmakers (Killian Hayes has been disappointing) and the Lakers really need a big man who can stretch the floor and read the game well.

Olynyk would help this year's Lakers team more than THT would, but the Lakers will be aiming higher than that if/when they trade him. I'm very curious to see what a THT trade looks like -- he's been pretty bad this year, but he just turned 21 and other teams may believe they can get a lot more out of him.
Bradley Beal

Am I really going to get 5 years $240 mill from the Wizards this summer? You'd think Washington would be a little bit reticent to commit that type of dough after the way John Wall's contract played out. I think I'd be the highest player in the league at that point but I've only made one All-NBA team, and it was third team last year...

I don't disagree. Honestly, the Wizards may be better off in the long term if they were to trade Beal for a bunch of assets at the deadline and play for a high draft pick this year rather than locking up Beal for $45MM+ per year. But they seem pretty dead-set on keeping him and I get the sense they'll offer him whatever it takes to get him to sign.
All-Defense
12:52
Will Evan Mobley make an All-D team as a rookie? Does he deserve it to this point? How about Gary Payton II? Also, why are there only two All-defensive teams but three All-NBA teams? Never understood that.
Luke Adams

I haven't sat down and tried to pick 10 All-Defense players, but I don't see any reason why Mobley wouldn't be very much in that conversation. Payton would be a harder sell, since he's averaging fewer than 17 MPG.
12:54
As for why there are three All-NBA teams and just two All-Defense (and All-Rookie), I suspect it's just much easier for voters to identify 15 players who had great seasons than to single out 15 great defenders or impressive rookies. I'd be in favor of a Third Team All-Defense though. There are worthy candidates left out every year.
Trent
12:54
In your opinion, what is the best course of action for the Raptors to take at the trade deadline?
Luke Adams
12:56
Hang onto the core, see if there's a worthwhile deal to be made using Dragic's expiring contract + a pick and/or a young player or two. Anyone besides VanVleet, OG, Siakam, Barnes, and Trent could go. (And maybe one of them could be in play for a real impact player, but I don't see the Raptors doing anything that significant).

What would it take to pry me away from OKC? I'm sure lots of contenders would love to have me.

I'm curious to see if the Thunder will move you or Kenrich Williams. I guess rebuilding teams need three-and-D guys too, but there are a lot of playoff teams that would give up a draft pick or two for you.
12:58
I suspect Presti would need more than just a single first-round pick -- he's got enough of those already.

How can Twolves improve without trading KAT or Edwards? Is it even possible?
Luke Adams

It's possible if they're willing to give up draft picks, but they're a little hamstrung by the fact that Malik Beasley hasn't been better this season -- he'd be the obvious trade chip, given his role and his salary, but he's far less valuable on the market when he's making 35% of his threes instead of 40%.
That's all for today, guys. Thanks for all your questions and apologies that I couldn't get to more. We have another live chat scheduled for Thursday at 11 am CT, so be sure to check back then!
