Will Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren be all stars?
Dana Gauruder
11:45
Just covered that above. Cade, being the franchise player, has a shot. I think Duren will have to enhance his resume to reach that point, unless the Pistons have a way better record than anyone expects heading to the ASB.

With Trey Murphy's extension on the horizon, who would be a higher value to the league if a trade must be made...Trey or Herb Jones?
Dana Gauruder
11:48
Two different players, right? Murphy is valued more for his offense, especially 3-point shooter. Jones is valued more for his D. They fill different roles but if I had to choose I'd say Murphy, since everybody looks for more shooting.

What do you think of the evolution of the big man in the NBA right now? It seems the profile of a Mobley, Chet, and Wemby is growing as the skilled and agile big man, but when the league is dominated by Jokic and Embiid will teams start going back to bigger guys to counter?

There's room for both types of players. Even Jokic and Embiid are far more versatile than the traditional centers we saw through the years. Jokic is just a magician out there. Embiid has also become an adept passer and improving 3-point shooter. Those young guys you mention, particularly VW and Holmgren, have incredible length with the ability to be major defensive forces.

Which contenders do you think have the least depth?
Dana Gauruder
11:55
That's TBD, really. That shows up when you lose a starter or two to long-term injury. There are teams that made major deals for All-Stars -- Boston, Milwaukee -- who have some depth concerns. The Nuggets are relying on some younger players because their starters eat up so much of the cap. Some for Phoenix.

Why is the NBA tourney format so lame and confusing? They should just do a round-robin where every team plays each other once over the first 29 games of the season (games would count toward the regular season) and then have the top 8 ranked teams by win/loss record meet in Vegas to play for the trophy.

It is confusing. Those early-round games are kind of scattered all over the place. I think the fundamental issue, as I've stated in earlier chat, is the timing. Most sports fans are focused on football prior to the holidays. I don't think an in-season tournament around that time is going to draw the attention the NBA expects. Maybe they'll have to hold the late rounds on Christmas Day to spice it up.

Can the Milwaukee bucks improve their wing defense because right now (yes only 2 games)  the wing defense looks bad real bad.

It's only 2 games. Don't push the panic button yet! They invested capital in trading for Lillard, so they'll have to figure that out with the group they've got.
