With the injury issue, I think at least some of this is due to players making so much money they do not want to risk a more severe career-threatening injury. An example is a player with a sprained ankle who does not want to risk the stress put on other soft tissue areas due to the weakened ankle. Makes me appreciate the Stockton and Malones that played 82 games year after year. They put winning over the risk of injury.

To touch on your topic question regarding injury: I think it’s just the mentality of the players, back in the day players would play through sprains/tears minor breaks etc but not so much anymore. I think the medical staff don’t help, as they are too cautious now, “you have a headache? Okay we’ll sit you for 5 games and run 400 tests”. There are still some guys that’ll go out no matter what, but a lot seem to be happy to miss chunks of the season.

Getting back to our topic, I think you both make some great points. I do think the medical staffs are overprotective. I also think the mentality of the players has changed. No one in past years wanted to be perceived as soft or injury-prone. They, obviously, also weren't making as much money as the players do now. I believe a major part of it, maybe the biggest part, is that the players over-train. They all spend so much time trying to keep up with their peers regarding conditioning, training methods, diet, etc. that they're too muscular and don't give their bodies enough rest during the offseason. If your "performance staff" and individual trainers can't keep you on the court, what good are they?

Back to a couple more questions.

Are we far enough into the season now to know where teams truly stand?

No. In most cases, you need to give it a solid 35-40 games to know where you stand -- and that's if you haven't had significant injuries like Memphis, Detroit, etc. Do we really know how good Phoenix will be, for example, until the Big 3 finally start playing together regularly?

Why does Brandon miller have a great game then & off game? I’m a hornets fan he has so much potential but are u worried about how it’s up & down?

Brandon will turn 21 tomorrow. He's in his first year in the league. Like all rookies, he's going to have ups and downs. The fact that he can have a 29-point game so early in his career should give you plenty of reason for optimism about his future.

Don't think they're inclined to go all in at this point but Presti pretty much owns the next few drafts so if they right guy becomes available, he should make the move.
That's all the time we have for today. Thanks for the question, sorry I didn't get to them all.
