I still like the Pacers' side more than the Kings' side, but I don't think either team is complaining about it at this point.

Do you see the Knicks doing a major trade to shake up the lineup.  Julius Randle + xyz for cap space and room for Toppin
Luke Adams

I don't think they'll be able to move Julius Randle for positive value, and I doubt they'd be willing to attach a draft pick to move off of him -- certainly not during the season anyway. If the Knicks do anything big with Randle, it probably happens during the offseason.

Kuz + Barton for Crowder + Mikael Bridges?
Luke Adams
12:46
Bridges is probably pretty close to untouchable at this point.

How about Saddiq Bey and vet expirings (Noel/Diallo/Joseph) for Collins and filler (Kaminsky/Martin) . From what i read the Hawks willingness to trade Collins is strictly financially motivated to free up future cap space and avoid the luxury tax next season. With Bey they'd get a real good young F who could replace Collins in the starting lineup and may be a better fit with Young/Murray/Capella that will make $20M less next season. The 3 other players the Hawks would acquire will beef up what has been a very week bench for now and their $20M combined in expiring contracts could be very useful in making other trades before the deadline.

While I'm sure the Hawks would love to avoid the tax, I don't get the sense at all that a Collins trade would be a pure salary dump. They're still very much in win-now mode and won't want to make any moves that make the team worse in the short term.
Pistons
12:47
Do the pistons make any moves with Cade potentially out long term and try to acquire some draft capitol? Bojan on an extension probably nets a first.

They'll probably wait until closer to the trade deadline, since they'd still theoretically like to push for a play-in spot and have their young guys play some meaningful second-half games. But yeah, they're going to get plenty of calls on Bogdanovic before the trade deadline. Alec Burks will be their other obvious trade candidate.

Three team deal with the Suns and Bucks for JC? Atlanta gets Grayson Allen, Bucks get Jae Crowder, Suns get Collins? Hawks get a good 3nD shooter, Suns get necessary frontcourt help, Bucks get defense and some shooting. Obviously the financials with Collins complicate this, Suns would need to include some salary filler.

It feels a little light from the Hawks' perspective, and I don't think getting Saric or Shamet from the Suns closes that gap.

Assuming they stay healthy (big assumption!), do the Clips need to make any moves?

I was intrigued by the idea of them making a play for Myles Turner using one of their wings or forwards. It feels like it'd be tough to work that out though -- if the Pacers are trading Turner, it's because they're throwing in the towel on this season, so it's not as if they'd want to trade Turner for a distant first-round pick and a veteran like Robert Covington. A third team would probably have to get involved.
If Kawhi is anywhere close to his old self though, I do think the Clippers are talented enough to get to the Finals without any moves.

Do you see a move out there for the bulls? They seem stuck. I know injuries hurt, but how long can they stay with their current roster?

They're one of the teams I'm most curious about at this year's trade deadline. I don't expect them to be better than about .500 this season unless Zach LaVine starts looking a little more like his usual self and Lonzo Ball comes back a lot sooner than expected. But this front office seems convinced that the current group can be competitive if everyone's healthy and (as mentioned earlier), there's no guarantee they'll keep their 2023 first-round pick even if they bottom out. Maybe there's a Vucevic trade to be made, but his value will be pretty limited given his contract ($22MM cap hit, UFA in 2023).

How is my Collins trade idea a salary dump? They would be getting Saddiq Bey is one hell of a young player and has started for the Pistons since his rookie year in 2020. With his skillset I believe he'd be a better with Young/Murray/Capella then Collins is.

Sorry, you're right, I misread that -- Bey would certainly be an intriguing piece from Atlanta's perspective. Even though he's struggled so far this season, I'm not sure Detroit would give him up in a deal like that, but it'd certainly be worth a call if you're the Hawks.
Thanks for all the questions this week, guys! We're taking a bit of a Thanksgiving break, but we'll be back with a live chat next Thursday (Dec. 1) at 11:00 am CT.
