The practice court in Philadelphia, maybe. I'm increasingly skeptical that a trade will be made by then. The Sixers will probably be willing to take it until at least the February trade deadline.

Will the Cavs look to add at the trade deadline or wait for the lottery
Luke Adams
12:41
Depends on how the next couple months play out, but with Sexton out for the season and Mobley still a rookie, the Cavs are another team that falls into the category of "No urgency to make a win-now move for this season." An offseason shake-up seems more likely.

What players do you see as top candidates to be called up from the G League this year?  When do those call-ups generally start to occur?
Luke Adams
12:42
Call-ups typically start happening more frequently in the new year, once teams can sign players to 10-day contracts. That happens on January 5.
12:44
As for specific candidates for call-ups, I have to admit I haven't been following the G League standouts too closely yet, but the players who got training camp invites before being waived and sent to the NBAGL are typically the best bets. I imagine we'll see at least a handful of this year's "affiliate players" in the NBA before season's end: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/11/nba-g-league-affiliate-players-for...

Is there any possibility that the Timberwolves can get help at PF? If so, at what cost?
Luke Adams
12:46
The cost depends on the caliber of player. A guy like Chris Boucher could be available at a modest price. If they're seeking the sort of player who could man the PF spot for years to come, the cost will be a lot higher -- Russell or Beasley might have to be involved in that sort of trade.

Don’t the Warriors need one more Big Man, in light of James Wiseman’s slow recovery from Knee surgery?   Kevon Looney has had his own health issues in recent years.  They seem thin on Size and Rim protectors.
Luke Adams
12:49
A lot of the Warriors' best lineups will have Draymond Green playing the five, so I don't think the team is too worried about its depth at center. Theoretically, maybe it'd make sense to add a more traditional backup center as insurance policy, but the Warriors don't really have the roster spot available at this point -- they're carrying a full 15-man squad and none of those 15 guys are obviously expendable.

Have I proved the Doubters wrong?  I'm averaging 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game .....
Luke Adams
12:51
I've been impressed with your play! Still pretty limited on offense, but rim protecting and rebounding were always going to be your calling cards anyway, and we're finally seeing more of that this season.
12:52
I'll be very interested to see how your free agency plays out, especially now that the Magic have invested long-term in Wendell Carter.

Why not switch things up and play Davion Mitchell in the backcourt Starting lineup, alongside De'Aron Fox?  Tyrese Haliburtion would have the Ball in his Hands more coming off of the Bench and feeding Buddy Hield for easy 3-Point shots.  No sense rolling with the status quo, got to mix things up.
Luke Adams
12:53
Agreed. This makes more sense when you consider that the Fox/Mitchell/Hield/Barnes/Holmes five-man group has a +15.4 net rating this season, making it the Kings' best lineup by far.

Will Toronto trade Siakam?
Luke Adams
12:55
I think they'd prefer to find a way to make the three-forward frontcourt of Siakam/Barnes/Anunoby work before they seriously consider a trade. But put it this way: If one of those three players gets dealt, I don't expect it to be Barnes or Anunoby.

do you think kyrie or Simmons will play this season?
Luke Adams
12:56
A month ago, I would've been shocked if we made it through the entire season without either Kyrie or Simmons playing at all. Now.... I can at least envision scenarios where it happens.
12:57
In my opinion, Simmons is more likely to suit up than Kyrie, since I have an easier time picturing Simmons getting traded than Kyrie getting vaccinated. But maybe NYC will reconsider its vaccine mandate by the spring.
Ben Simmons
12:57
How much have I negatively impacted my career and success by this fiasco with the Sixers?
Luke Adams
12:59
It's a great question. In the moment, it's hard to see how this won't follow you around for the rest of your career. But I felt the same way when guys like Anthony Davis and James Harden forced their way out in months-long standoffs. And while I'm sure fans in New Orleans and Houston still don't think too highly of AD and Harden, it's been easier for other NBA fans to move past it.

I hope Simmons can bounce back from this and thrive elsewhere, but I certainly don't envy him the first time he returns to Philly as a visiting player...
Thanks for all the questions, everyone. That's it for today. Have a great week, and I'll talk to you next Tuesday!
