I touched on this earlier and the Jazz have to give that bigger lineup a fair chance to show what it can do. Kessler missed some time, which delayed the process. But they went out of their way to get Collins this summer, so they have to see how it works for a much larger sample -- at least 40-50 games.

Every year I say the same thing whoever does the NBA schedule is just terrible at their job.  Clippers are playing GSW 3 of their 4 times in the next 2 weeks. Some teams already played all of their games against a opponent. Its like they don't go over schedules before releasing them.

It's always been a complicated process. Arena availability is usually at the top of the list -- if you're sharing a venue with an NHL team, it gets trickier.

How long until the Wizards decide this roster is not working, and tear it down, and get as many draft picks as they can for their veterans?

"Stealth tank" in the sense that the Spurs are hiding it behind "trying new things" and "emphasizing other skills" rather than just sucking.

What are your projections for the Blazers as we get toward the trade deadline?

These are all some of the "contenders" for that earlier topic about which teams will have the worst record in each conference. I'm going to pick the Wizards (their win over the Pistons notwithstanding) and Spurs. I don't think San Antonio is "stealth tanking." They've just got a long way to go, even with the addition of VW. The Wizards are open to trading anyone on their roster. As for Blazers, I believe there will be a "Jerami Grant watch" as the deadline approaches. He could be a very valuable piece for a top contender.

How likely is it that JB Bickerstaff gets the boot if the Cavs keep underperforming like this? Injuries have obviously played a role, but the offense is disorganized without it being all on Mitchell, and the defense has somehow looked worse, even with better results than the offense. Can't even blame new additions, as Strus has been everything you could ask of him and then some.

Given that Bickerstaff was highly praised for the job he did last year, I can't imagine the Cavs getting rid of him unless they implode. They're 9-8 -- I don't see any way they'll miss the playoffs.

Who should the Jazz trade: Sexton, THT, or Clarkson?

If you're asking who would draw the best offer, I'd definitely say Clarkson. But I still believe Utah will at least challenge for a play-in spot.

Woud Jerami Grant be a fit on the Warriors?

It would be tough to see that, unless the Warriors fully commit to a small ball approach with Draymond at C. I doubt GS would have the young players/draft capital to pull that off as well.
