Who does Boston get offered in a Payton Pritchard deal?
Luke Adams

Would not count on particularly strong offers for the guy who's shooting 23.5% from the floor. (Yes, he'll improve from here, but his track record isn't strong enough to warrant a strong trade return, so the Celtics are probably better off focusing on developing him rather than trading him while his value is low.)

The Sixers’ trade of James Harden for Covington, Batum , and Marcus Morris Sr., gives the team some solid depth. Is this roster good enough to be a top-3 seed in the Eastern Conference?

Absolutely. I viewed Boston, Milwaukee, and Cleveland as a cut above the rest of the East coming into the season, but the Bucks have been shaky and the Cavs have been shakier. Suddenly it seems more likely that the East's top three will be the same as last season's (C's, Bucks, Sixers).

Hi, I see the Lakers using depth pieces (DLo and pieces) + draft picks for a lead guard that they can pair with Reaves and Vincent like a Brogdan or a McCollom and a shooter like Kennard to help balance out the scoring in the backcourt.  Right now, I think they have too many forwards with duplicate skills that won't get the minutes to be effective with LBJ and AD playing so many minutes.

Seems plausible. I'm not sure McCollum will be available unless the Pelicans fall well short of expectations, but Brogdon could certainly be had -- he's a stouter perimeter defender than D'Lo and would have no problem being a complementary option on offense to guys like LeBron and AD.
As I've mentioned before in these chats, the contract Russell signed this offseason would typically give him the ability to veto a trade, but he waived that ability, so it seems clear the Lakers were preparing for the possibility of using him in a deal.

Thanks for the questions today, guys! Signing off a few minutes early to make sure we get stories up on the latest developments around the NBA (Iguodala, Cam Thomas, etc.). We'll do this again next week!
