Chances the Mavs actually re-sign Kyrie in the offseason? He's not exactly a stellar fit for their already poor defense and transition game.

I still think a long-term relationship is in both sides' best interests unless things really sour in the next few weeks. Dallas gave up a lot to acquire him and Irving may not have a lot of other desirable options. I'd put the odds at better than 50/50 for now.

They do still have that open 15-man roster spot. But given how many injury issues they've had this year, it probably makes sense for them to wait until the last week or two of the season to see how healthy they are and what their biggest position of need is. Lots of veterans still out there if they need an insurance policy at a certain spot.

It seems a little early for the Hawks to change directions so drastically (I'd think they'd want to give Quin Snyder more time to connect with Trae first). But if things don't get any better in the next year, it wouldn't totally shock me if this happened in 2024.

It feels like Russell's next contract should be in about the same range as his current deal (around $30MM per year over 3-4 years). Brandon Clarke's deal (four years, $50MM) is probably a good point of reference for Hachimura. I could see him getting slightly more than that.
