Thanks for all the questions you've submitted so far, guys! Keep 'em coming, and we'll get underway in just a sec.

What do you guys think about Andre Drummond's status on getting traded before the deadline? And what team is most likely his destination?
Luke Adams
12:02
Not much chatter about Drummond since he was benched, which is probably because the Cavs are finding it hard to move him. He has value, but there just aren't that many teams that could comfortably match his $28.75MM cap hit, give the Cavs a little something in return, AND easily incorporate Drummond into their system.
12:03
I think the Mavs or Knicks make a little sense as possible trade destinations but it also wouldn't surprise me if the Cavs don't get any offers they like and are stuck with Drummond after the deadline, debating whether or not to just buy him out.

What are your thoughts on this trend of teams hiring a coach to get them through the rebuild and then hiring someone else to win with?
Luke Adams
12:06
The Hawks are the latest team to go this route -- we've also seen it from the Nets and Sixers, among others. It definitely makes some sense. A coach who is skilled at developing young players isn't necessarily as adept at leading a more veteran-heavy roster to title contention. It does seem unfair to the Brett Browns and Kenny Atkinsons of the world that did the legwork during the tough years. In Brown's case, he at least got a year or two to prove his case once the team was ready to win. Atkinson and Lloyd Pierce didn't get that opportunity.

What do you think the most likely and realistic acquisitions are for the Nets using their remaining trade assets, the DPE, and the MLE, including the buyout market?
Luke Adams
12:08
The only way they use part of the MLE is if they have to outbid other teams for someone on the buyout market who warrants more than the minimum. A player of that caliber doesn't always hit the buyout market, but I could see it happening this year -- maybe with Drummond or Redick.
12:09
As for the DPE, JaVale McGee and Ed Davis could be good fits if the Nets are focused on a center.

What can I do to help the Celtics get out of their funk?
Luke Adams
12:11
With the $28.5MM trade exception, a handful of expendable prospects, and all your future first-round picks, you have no shortage of options. It'll just be a matter of not letting "perfect" be the enemy of "good" and actually pulling the trigger on the best one -- it's been a while since you made an in-season trade, but you need one this year.
Lakers
12:11
Do you see them making a big trade? Will they keep Tucker? Will KCP be packaged to get a big?
Luke Adams
12:13
I'd be surprised if the Lakers do anything drastic unless they're worried about Anthony Davis' availability later in the season. They were playing well before he went down and should be dangerous again once he's back. Anything beyond tweaking the roster might be an overreaction.

What are the chances that the magic trade away Gordon or Fournier?
Luke Adams
12:14
The Magic are another team (like the Celtics) that seems hesitant to make a big swing during the season. Logically speaking, they should shop Fournier now and see what they can get for Gordon during the offseason. But I can definitely see them standing pat this month and then figuring out what to do with Fournier during the summer.

12:14
Do you think the Bucks will make any moves or because of their lack of assets are they stuck pretty much as is
Luke Adams
12:16
They were willing to trade DiVincenzo last offseason, so they'd probably do it again if they can find an upgrade. It'll be tough though -- a Holiday extension and maybe a buyout market signing could be their biggest moves.
Toronto raptors
12:16
Who is the one center the raptors should zero in on
Luke Adams
12:17
I kind of liked Blake Murphy's idea from earlier this week: Richaun Holmes. The Kings are falling out of contention and Holmes is a free agent at season's end. He'd help right away and the Raptors would be in position to re-sign him in the offseason.

What are the Warriors going to do about their backup Point Guard spot?  It’s a huge hole on the team.
Luke Adams
12:19
Jeremy Lin is making a case for a call-up for Golden State's G League team... (I don't know that he's the answer, but I think the Warriors will probably try to get lucky with a low-risk signing like that rather than giving up anything of value in a trade for a short-term fix).

12:19
Do you think if the Nets and Knicks were willing to make a trade, Noel, Payton and a second or two will be enough to land dinwiddie.
Luke Adams
12:20
That seems like too much. Dinwiddie's value is tied to his Bird rights, since he likely won't be back this year, and the Knicks will have enough cap room to go after him without his Bird rights in the summer, if they want to.

How would the 76ers make it work with the Raptors to get Kyle Lowry, or would a 3rd team have to likely get involved ??  Lowry is a big playoff player, and just had a triple-double this week.
Jaysfan
12:20
What moves can the Raptors realistically make before the deadline to contend,  is C the most pressing need. Can Lowry be traded for something of substance? Say a Ben Simmons?
Kyle Lowry
12:20
I love the Raptors but Philly is home. Can the Raptors trade me to Philly and get a worthwhile return? I can help Philly win a championship then come back to Toronto to retire?
Luke Adams
12:21
Grouping all these questions together to address the Lowry situation, which is a hot topic...
12:22
First: It sounds like the Raptors won't consider moving Lowry unless he wants to be dealt. He's earned that based on what he's done for the franchise. If he does ask to be moved, Philly isn't a bad fit (but if you're the Raptors, you'd be after Maxey, Thybulle, and/or draft picks -- Simmons is unrealistic).
12:25
It'd be a challenge for those two teams to work something out -- they're division rivals and the Raptors won't want to help the Sixers become a legit Finals threat without getting a big piece or two out of it. Salary-matching would be tricky too. I wonder if the Raptors would be willing to attach a couple other low-cost rotation players (Davis, Bembry, etc.) to Lowry in an effort to make the structure easier and as sweeteners to try to get Maxey out of it.

12:25
Will Monte McNair blow up the Kings and if so who do you thin would be good fits for Buddy Hield and harrison Barnes?
Luke Adams
12:28
Compared to some other recently-hired GMs (ie. Gersson Rosas), McNair has taken a more conservative approach to his first year on the job so far. It's possible he'll switch into fire-sale mode this month, but his track record so far doesn't suggest that's likely. I expect he'll land somewhere between blowing it up and standing pat -- maybe Bjelica, Barnes, and one or two others are on the move, but Hield seems more likely to stay put.

what are your feeling on buyouts? I personally hate the way they are handled and wish the NBA would not allow players signed on the buyout market after the trade deadline to play for their new team during the playoffs (similar to what MLB does for players acquired after the trade deadline... Thoughts?
Luke Adams
12:31
I go back and forth on buyouts. I don't think players should be held captive indefinitely because the team signed them to a contract that it now regrets, but the idea that a contending team could add someone like Andre Drummond for nothing as a free agent rubs me the wrong way too. Maybe further restricting playoff eligibility, as you suggest, is the right compromise. Or maybe a format similar to the old one for amnesty waivers, where teams can bid on a waived player and he goes to the team that makes the highest bid. I'd have to think about it a little more.

Will the Grizzlies make a move for a shooter? With Tillman doing great, Dieng and his salary are expendable. Add Dillon or Winslow for the right player.
Luke Adams
12:34
Dieng would be a nice salary-match for Redick, though a move to Memphis wouldn't exactly appease Redick's desire to play close to his family in Brooklyn. If the Kings shopped Hield, the Grizzlies would make some sense a suitor -- I wonder whether or not they feel it's still a bit too early in their rebuild to start making all-in moves like that (like the Hawks did in the offseason).
Gordon Solie
12:35
Best fit for a Zach LaVine trade?
Luke Adams
12:35
Would be absolutely shocked if he goes anywhere this season.
Norman Lamb
12:35
The Knicks still have nearly $17M in cap space...what do you think they should do with it?
Luke Adams
12:39
I'm still not 100% sold on the idea of the Knicks as a playoff team, but they keep surprising me. There's probably no harm in trying to make one or two more moves like the Derrick Rose trade, where they add an immediate contributor (but not necessarily a long-term piece) without giving up much in return. A team looking to dump some salary might even give the Knicks a second-round pick for taking on an unwanted contract.
Blake Griffin
12:39
Do you see any team desperate enough to take on my contract or am I looking at a buyout realistically?
