Jeremy Lin is still available.  Surprised nobody has signed him as a depth piece for the stretch run.
Luke Adams
12:36
He was virtually unplayable during his last NBA stint with the Raptors, but apparently he was dealing with an injury at that point -- he looked pretty good in the G League last month. I could certainly see him getting signed into a playoff team's 15th roster spot during the final few weeks of the season.

is this your full time job? How many hours per week do you put into Hoops Rumors? You do excellent work.
Luke Adams
12:38
It is my full-time job, yeah. An average week is probably between 50-60 hours, but that number gets even higher around the trade deadline, draft, and free agency, when it feels like practically a 24/7 job (albeit a fun one!). We also have a great staff of part-time writers who help me manage the load and stay on top of everything.

Where do you think Schröder goes, since he passed up the contract extension? Does he stay in LA, or go to a different team?
Luke Adams
12:40
The Bulls or Knicks would probably be in the mix for him, but I'm skeptical that either of those teams would go higher than the Lakers will. The Bulls or Knicks could use their cap room on someone else -- the Lakers won't open up any cap room by letting Schroder walk, so they're more invested in making sure they get something done.
12:41
I could see the Lakers going a little higher in the offseason than they're going now to make it look like Schroder got a win, even if the new offer is being artificially buoyed by incentives or a partial guarantee.

Will the Jazz be able to keep their core in tact for the next couple of years?
Luke Adams
12:43
Pretty much everyone is under contract for multiple years except for Conley. Re-signing him would take them into tax territory again, so it'll depend what sort of appetite ownership has being a taxpayer for a second straight year. If they want to avoid a big tax bill, maybe they'd have to move a salary like Ingles or O'Neale to fit Conley.

With the BUCKS signing Jeff Teague dose that take them out of the running for Austin Rivers
Luke Adams
12:44
It shouldn't. They still have an open roster spot, and Rivers is one of the better options out there. The Bucks should still be interested, though maybe the Teague signing will give Rivers pause -- he could shop around to see whether he might get more playing time elsewhere.

Any Warrior moves coming?
Luke Adams
12:46
Bob Myers said after the trade deadline that they'll decide what to do with one or both of their roster openings within about a week, though they can wait a little longer than that if they want to, to save some money. Whether it's this week or next week, that move may just be a matter of converting Juan Toscano-Anderson and/or Nico Mannion to the 15-man roster.

Am I too skinny to succeed in the NBA ?
Luke Adams
12:48
For now, maybe, but you won't keep your 19-year-old body forever. If I were considering drafting you, that wouldn't be a major concern.
Most talented off season
12:48
Is there a year that you think had the most talented FA available and or big trades happened?
Luke Adams
12:50
This is a question that requires more research than I can do on the spot, but off the top of my head, the 2019 offseason was the wildest of the last decade or so.
Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, and Kemba Walker all changing teams in free agency. Plus the Anthony Davis, Paul George, Mike Conley, and Westbrook/CP3 trades.

The Pistons are towards the bottom of the standings. What do you think they need to improve? Do you see any FA wanting to go there?
Luke Adams
12:53
I don't think we'll see Kawhi Leonard going to Detroit or anything, but there's no reason some lower-level FAs won't be willing to go to the Pistons if the price is right, like Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee did last year. At this point though, they're just at the part in the rebuild where they're accumulating talent draft picks and assessing which players look like long-term fits. I don't think we'll see a bunch of win-now moves from them this summer.

Are the Clippers done tweaking their roster?
Luke Adams
12:55
They only have 13 players under contract, so they'll definitely sign at least one more guy. Not sure there are any obvious candidates out there right now. Maybe an Austin Rivers reunion if he doesn't go to the Bucks? Here's the list of veteran free agents: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2018/08/2020-nba-free-agents.html

Do you believe Josh Jackson can live up to his potential as a number 3rd pick in detroit
Luke Adams
12:57
Jackson was actually the No. 4 pick. I, uh, don't see him having as good a career as the No. 3 pick in that draft (Tatum). But it looks like he's developing into a decent role player, which is better than plenty of other top picks over the years.

Do the C’s trade Smart, extend him now or try one more year before he is an FA? Last night showed the highs and lows of his impact on the team.
Luke Adams
12:59
I'd try to get an extension done with him this offseason if I were running the Celtics. The pros outweighs the cons with Smart, and he's definitely worth his current price. But if they feel the need to shake things up a little, he's the most obvious trade candidate.

who will the knicks add from the buyout market ? they've got two open Roster spots to fill .
Luke Adams

They could use another big man with Robinson out for the foreseeable future. I wonder if World Wide Wes is begging Leon Rose to sign Kentucky alum DeMarcus Cousins (I'd rather see them go after Damian Jones if the Lakers aren't bringing him back).

Thanks for all the questions today, guys. Talk to you next Tuesday!
