He'll help, but "top defensive team" might be overly ambitious. Even before his ankle issues, Robinson generally only played in the neighborhood of 25 minutes per night. He's a good situational player, but they'll need to figure out how to get stops without him on the court to have a chance to beat the Cavs and/or Celtics.

What moves do you think the Hawks should make this offseason to improve? They cleared out a nice chunk of money by trading Hunter. Would a legit starting center be high on their want list?

This offseason is probably an inflection point for Trae Young, who will enter the season next fall on an expiring contract if he's not extended this offseason. That'll be the big decision for the Hawks that will have a ripple effect on every other decisions: Do they extend Young or think about trading him?

If they determine Trae is a keeper, you can start targeting specific positions and players to complement him, including figuring out what the center position will look like. If not, they'll be looking for more long-term building blocks to go with Risacher, Daniels, Jalen Johnson, etc.

Do Luke Walton, Alvin Gentry or Nate McMillan ever coach again?

Gentry is 70 and McMillan is 60, so I'd give Walton (44) better odds at eventually landing another head coaching job.

What does a Ty Jerome contract look like this offseason?

I'm very curious about that. He's been awesome, but he's never been a great defensive player, so I'm wondering whether he'll be able to keep this up in the postseason or whether he might get targeted on that end of the court. That could go a long way toward determining what kind of contract he gets.

Conservatively, he should at least be looking at the kind of deal Kris Dunn got last summer (three years, $16MM+). Could be much higher than that if he acquits himself well in the playoffs.

There's a lot being said about Kris Middleton being trade chips for the Wizards. Is it possible that they have the "Houston" effect next year, the two vets providing guidance and mentorship to turn the team around much like Dillon Brooks and Fred VanVleet did for Houston. Are these situations similar?

If you squint though rose-colored glasses.... yes. But I just don't like the Wizards' current young core as much as what the Rockets built. As good as Brooks and VanVleet have been in Houston, the young guys like Sengun, Thompson, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith, etc. have been huge factors in the gains the Rockets have made. I'm just not sure Coulibaly/Sarr/Carrington/George are ready to take that step next season.

Though I suppose if they're able to add Cooper Flagg this June, the equation changes.

The Bulls getting their own pick back as the centerpiece was a bit of a tough pill to swallow, since it might've landed in its protected range for another year or two anyway. And I would've liked to see them get more expiring salaries instead of Collins' and Huerter's bad multiyear money. But I suppose it's better than I thought they'd do for LaVine when the season started.

Thanks for all the questions today, guys. Apologies if I didn't get to yours. Glad to see we're still so active in this transaction "dead zone" between the trade deadline and the offseason. Enjoy the week and we'll chat again next Thursday!
