That shouldn't necessarily be a hard-and-fast number though. If the top 5-6 players in the league in a given year have all missed 20 games, maybe you could have an MVP who has only played in 60 (of 82).

I have my doubts that my hornets will have to play in the 7-10 seed tourney for last 2 spots & will lose that bc I don’t think we can hold on to where we are now with no ball Hayward for a little bit still what are your thoughts?
Luke Adams

The Celtics, Knicks, and Pacers have all been coming on strong lately, and I'd be surprised if Charlotte holds them all off for the No. 6 seed. On the plus side, the Bulls and Raptors seem to have no interest in moving up in the standings, so I can't see the Hornets falling further than No. 9 -- that'd mean hosting the first play-in game.
12:43
The health of their main guys will probably dictate how far the Hornets go, but I could see them participating in the second play-in game for their playoff spot.

Which deadline trade will be the most impactful? I say the rondo trade
Luke Adams
12:45
I would've said Aaron Gordon prior to the Murray injury. Rondo isn't a bad pick -- P.J. Tucker is a similar one in the East. Both veteran guys whose best days might be behind them, but whose toughness and playoff experience could help a contender get over the hump.
I wouldn't sleep on the Sixers' acquisition of George Hill either. As long as he gets healthy, he's a really nice fit for that lineup.

Are the Cavs going in the right direction, and how could they do better?
Luke Adams
12:48
I suppose they're going in the right direction, albeit a bit slower than you'd like. The Allen trade was a nice piece of business, and they should be able to take some bigger swings once they're out from under the Kevin Love contract.
12:49
Recapturing some of their old lottery luck would help too -- it doesn't even need to be the No. 1 pick this year. Anything in the top four or five would put them in position for a really promising cornerstone player.

Are KAT, ANT, DLO, and Beasley a solid starting group or should some combination of those players be moved to bring in someone else
Luke Adams
12:50
I'm not especially high on D-Lo or Beasley. I think we could see one of them moved at some point. Beasley is probably the more logical trade candidate, given his more affordable contract and his positional overlap with Edwards.

Who are top candidates for Knicks starting point guard next season?
Luke Adams
12:52
The latest reports have the Knicks eyeing Dennis Schroder and Lonzo Ball, who make sense as younger options: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/04/dennis-schroder-on-knicks-radar-fo...
12:53
They'll probably kick the tires on Chris Paul, Mike Conley, and Kyle Lowry, though I don't expect CP3 to leave Phoenix, and the Knicks would probably prefer a younger player. Devonte' Graham and Spencer Dinwiddie could be worth watching too.
Apologies, guys, have to call it a few minutes early today. Thanks for all your questions -- I'll talk to you again next week!
