Is Embiid's tendency to flop a lot a detriment to his DPOY chances? Or any perception-based ideas about him.

He's such a dynamic offensive threat, I don't think a lot of people view him as an equally defensive stalwart. I think most big men who win the award have big shotblocking totals. Embiid blocks some shots but I don't think he's usually in top five or 10 in that category. Jackson led the league in blocks, for example, and Lopez had the most total blocks -- they finished 1-2. When Gobert won it with Jazz, he was right up there among league leaders in that category.

Which team most needs Wemby? My money is on Charlotte or Portland.

If you're thinking of teams that might avoid going into full rebuild mode by winning the lottery, they'd be right up there. I'd throw in the Wizards, too. They've been stuck in mediocrity for awhile. I could see the Pistons really taking off if they won the lottery for the 2nd time in 3 years -- adding him to Cade, Ivey, Duren, etc.

Thoughts on the new NBA draft combine requirements for the draft

From what I've seen, I think the real motivation for teams is to get ahold of the medicals. That's been a huge issue of late -- you draft these guys without having access to their full medical histories and potential future health issues.

Would the Mavs do a sign & trade with Kyrie or are they obligated to give him the Max?

They're not obligated to give him the max, though they've said it's a high priority to re-sign him. If he wants to go somewhere else, it may behoove the Mavs to get assets from that team. They could at least replenish their team with some solid rotation players.

Thanks for the steady stream of questions. Lot of good ones today. That's all the time we have for today.
