It seems like a safe bet to assume Cade, Mobley, Suggs, Green, and Kuminga will be the top five in some order, but No. 6 remains very much up for grabs. Barnes would be a fine choice there, but I'm not ready to commit to any one player until we see which team actually gets the pick. That team's needs and/or draft history should give us a clearer picture of which player is the favorite there -- Keon Johnson and Jalen Johnson should be in the mix too.

I'm not sure even a healthy Hawks team is ready to knock off the Nets, Sixers, or Bucks this season. Give it a year or two though -- they're pretty well-positioned to make a trade for an impact player.

Are the celtics still the best "young" core in the NBA or do you think another team has surpassed them?

That's a question that will require more than a couple minutes of thought in a chat setting, but I'd still rank Boston's group pretty highly on the strength of Tatum and Brown. The rest of their "young core" isn't all that impressive, but having two All-Star caliber players puts them ahead of most teams.

Should Nuggets keep Rivers for rest of season or look for another guard in free agency? They need depth there at the moment and someone who can handle signifigant minutes

Over the years, there have been a ton of excellent sports movies made for kids (ex. Bad News Bears, Rookie of the Year, Mighty Ducks). Why hasn't there been a decent kids movie about basketball?

It does feel like most of the good basketball movies have been more adult-oriented though. I'd put Coach Carter up there among sports movies aimed at a younger audience.

How would you evaluate Donovan in his first year with the Bulls?  Obviously it's a tough situation in terms of mismatching pieces, overall lack of talent, and a lot of roster turnover at the deadline. But the defense has been horrendous and his rotations have been questionable.

I think the Bulls' up-and-down play is more on the roster the front office (or the previous front office) put together and less on Donovan. I'd give him a solid B grade this season and would expect him to get more out of next year's team after he gets an offseason to incorporate Vucevic more.

Would highly recommend Basketball Insiders for team salaries -- that's the site we use most often as a reference. The Pistons may have a little room, but the cap hold for a high lottery pick will cut into that room significantly. Pacers are classic middle of the road team- why don't they blow it up this offseason?

I don't know if they'll blow it up entirely, but I'd be surprised if they don't make at least one or two major moves this summer. Running back the same group next season wouldn't make any sense. I expect we'll start hearing trade rumors early in the offseason about Turner, Holiday, and maybe Brogdon.
