That's still TBD. He's coming off his best game, and assuming the Hawks don't blow their 3-1 lead, he'll still have another series to prove his value in a tougher matchup. If I were a team mulling a max offer sheet, I wouldn't be ready to substantially lower my offer quite yet.

Salary cap has been lowered due to loss in revenue. I'm concerned for my Golden State Warriors and their ability to build a competitive roster beyond their big three within the next three years (aka the window for a championship). Do you anticipate anything changing if there's a surge in revenue?
Luke Adams

I'll have to revisit the NBA's announcement on this from last fall to be sure, but if I'm remembering correctly, the league indicated that the cap would increase by between 3-10% each year for the next 2-3 years. I'd been sort of counting on 3% annual increases, given the lost revenue, but we're back to full arenas quicker than I thought, and it doesn't seem like COVID will be much of a factor during the 2021/22 season. That could bode well for bigger cap bumps going forward.

What are the Sixers' chances to win it all?
Luke Adams
12:46
I'll get back to you on that after we hear the results of Joel Embiid's MRI...
12:47
Even with a healthy Embiid, I like the winner of the Bucks/Nets second-round series to come out of the East. But if those two teams wear each other down over seven games while the Sixers have an easier time vs. the Hawks/Knicks, there's certainly a path to the Finals.
Fan interaction
12:48
The NBA has always been the major sport that allows its fans to get closest to the action. Lately, the way fans act has been in the media spotlight (spitting/dumping popcorn on people/running on the court). Do you ever see the NBA changing the way seating is done? Do you think the larger bench area is here to stay?
Luke Adams
12:50
I think it would take a lot for the NBA to nix courtside seating -- as you say, they're the only league that really offers that sort of experience, and getting rid of courtside seating would also mean getting rid of the most expensive seats in the building.
12:51
But I do wonder if the league will look harder at moving those seats back a little, especially if these incidents keep happening. Besides reducing the risk of an unruly fan involving himself in a game, it'd also improve player/fan safety on plays when someone is diving to try to save a ball from going out of bounds.
Redraft
12:52
If we could redo the 2019 NBA Draft, would the Knicks have been better off drafting De'Andre Hunter instead of RJ Barrett?
Luke Adams
12:53
I really like what I've seen from Hunter so far. But Barrett was considered the consensus No. 3 pick at the time and Hunter wasn't a lock to go No. 4, so it's hard to second-guess that choice.
Barrett made some positive strides this year -- I think he'll be a good pro.

Do you think the reason why fans are acting strange is because they havent been in an arena in a long time?
Luke Adams
12:56
I hope that's it and I hope that things calm down soon. Because if this keeps up, those fans are going to jeopardize some of the privileges we've all taken for granted when we attend games.

Kemba trade value has probably never been lower.  Any legit trades out there?  I
Luke Adams
12:57
He'll make $36MM next season, so you're starting to run into the same problem that the Pistons had with Griffin and the Cavs had with Drummond -- that number is just too high for most teams to realistically accommodate without giving up too much value in return.
12:58
Kemba has more value than those guys did and it's easier to make a move in the offseason than in-season, but I imagine they'll struggle to find an appealing deal for him.

The Knicks are on the brink of elimination, so what are the next steps for them? They’re not in the lottery but that doesn’t mean they should go chase free agents right?
Luke Adams

I don't see a problem with chasing free agents as long as they're going after the right ones and not being silly about it. Like, I'm not sure offering Chris Paul $105MM for three years or Dennis Schroder $90MM+ for four years is a good idea. But if they could get someone like Kyle Lowry on a one- or two-year deal, I don't hate that at all.
That's our hour. Thanks for all the questions today, guys, and apologies if I didn't get to yours this week!
Enjoy the rest of the first round!
