That's interesting. I can't get a sense of whether Kispert, on his new extension, would be a positive or negative asset this summer. The Spurs could certainly use some shooting, but Kispert might be a defensive liability on a playoff team.

What would you have the Timberwolves do this offseason if you were calling the shots like me?

I like the Wolves as a fit for Durant and I don't think they should worry about how enthusiastic he'll be about coming to Minnesota. Even the worst-case scenario (he walks in 2026) would create a ton of cap flexibility going forward for the Wolves.

Obviously, the price has to be right, but if you can build a package around Randle as the main salary-matching piece and re-sign Reid, that's intriguing to me.

does the site have any plans for a community mock draft?

A little late to start one at this point, but it's not a bad idea -- I may keep it in mind for next year.

Any clues on what the Hawks will do this offseason? New FO and have the 2nd largest spending power without having to clear cap space due to their TPEs. Think they could really make some noise next year with a few astute moves.

I really like a lot of the Hawks' young players (Johnson, Daniels, Risacher, Okongwu), but I don't have a lot of confidence in Trae Young as the star to lead them. Think it's probably in Atlanta's best long-term interest to find a trade for him, but getting back the right pieces will be a challenge.

Even without making a decision on Young one way (trade) or the other (extension) this offseason, they're in a pretty good spot to continue making other moves, but it feels like it'll be tough to do anything too drastic until they know whether or not he's part of their long-term plans.

Pistons offseason ? Quiet or swing for someone?
Luke Adams

I sorta feel like where the Pistons are now is where Orlando was a year ago, which probably means Detroit waits another year to make a big swing of their own. Bringing back at least a couple of their own key free agents and maybe adding one more rotation player via MLE or sign-and-trade would be a good summer for them.

Does Philly stay at 3 draft vj edgecomb and rely on two aging stars regain health, maintaining health and compete championship? IMO no way. Trade down with Utah, add shooting around Joel. Thanks

I've advocated for a trade-down deal since the Sixers got that third overall pick on lottery night. Still, if they think Edgecombe has legitimate star potential, I understand why they'd be happy to stay at No. 3.

As for relying on Embiid and George, I'm not sure they have much choice. Their trade value is in the gutter right now -- the Sixers are better off trying to rebuild it than selling so low.

Thanks for all the great questions today, guys! I'll need to figure out what our schedule looks like for next week in the middle of the draft, but I hope to find some time to chat next Thursday.

Enjoy the rest of the NBA Finals and have a good week!
