Clips have a chance?
Luke Adams
12:34
They could make it interesting, especially if CP3 has to miss 2-3 more games. But if Kawhi is unavailable, it's really hard to see them getting by the Suns.

Any chance the Twolves trade Beasley and get into the draft???  Unload some $$$ to make a run at Collins and /or get a draft asset?
Luke Adams
12:35
I could see them shopping Beasley this summer, but not sure they'll prioritize getting into the draft. Assuming they lose their pick to the Warriors, they're going to view Bolmaro (2020's draft-and-stash) as their de facto first-rounder for this year. They'd want to target a starting power forward in a Beasley deal.

We could have two Top 8 draft picks after Tonight.  Can we play Draft someone that can consistently Score 20 points per game for us?  Also who do you keep out of the Fulz / Anthony pairing?  They both are Shoot pass, Pass second type of players.
Luke Adams
12:38
Depends where they land in the lottery, but there are some potential 20+ PPG scorers at the top of this draft class. Jalen Green would be a nice fit for them. Jalen Suggs too.
12:39
As for Fultz/Anthony, no need to make a decision on that right away. They're both under contract for multiple years still, and they're coming off injuries. Let's see what they can do in 2021/22 if they're back to 100%.

Do you think there’s any potential trade fits out there for John wall? Was debating if something like wall and a pick for porzingis might make some sense if Dallas doesn’t score a bigger fish in FA
Luke Adams
12:41
I wouldn't expect the Rockets to be especially motivated to move Wall. They won't be contenders within the next year or two, so they're better off just waiting for that contract to expire rather than attaching assets to get off of it.

Did we see more coaching vacancies this year than usual?
Luke Adams
12:43
These things go in waves, but 7 isn't an unusually high number of offseason coaching changes. I believe there were 9 last offseason.
Common Anomaly
12:43
OKC has the draft rights to Vasilije Micić, a 27 year old point guard who won the 2020-2021 EuroLeague MVP and Final Four MVP. Is 27 years old too old for OKC’s rebuilding process? Should Brad Stevens have asked OKC about his availability?
Luke Adams
12:44
Wouldn't surprise me if Micic is moved this offseason. His agent shot down a report that he was set to come to the NBA -- that could have been posturing in the hopes of pushing for a trade.

Cade is the best #1 overall prospect since _____?
Luke Adams
12:45
Probably just since Zion.
... the Clown!!
12:45
Do you think Barton opts out? I think with his somewhat regular injuries the last two years, he'd be seen as a risk.
Luke Adams
12:46
I could see that one going either way. His agent will probably have a sense before the decision deadline of whether a bigger offer is out there waiting for him. My bet is that he opts in.

12:47
Who should get the Portland Trail Blazers coaching job?
Luke Adams
12:48
It's pretty difficult to evaluate assistant coaches as an outsider -- all we really have to go on is their reputation among players and fellow coaches. But I'd love to see Becky Hammon get a shot at a top job. It does sound like Chauncey Billups is still the frontrunner though.

The likelihood is Evan Mobley becomes the Cavs pick at # 5.. Tell the Cavs fans why this could become a franchise changing selection, please?...
Luke Adams
12:50
I don't expect Mobley to be on the board at 5, but he'd be a great pick for the Cavs at 2 or 3. A lot of their high picks in the last few years (Sexton, Garland, Okoro) have been strong either offensively or defensively -- Mobley has the clear potential to be an impact player on both ends.

12:50
who is the Celtics starting point guard next season? If not Smart, do you think he is still a Celtic next season?
Luke Adams
12:51
I think it's Smart. If they hadn't been able to find a trade they liked for Kemba, maybe Smart goes, but they can afford to keep him now. And Stevens, of course, knows first-hand the kind of value he provides.

12:52
Who’s your candidate for Celtics head coach? Have to think Udoka makes the most sense, right?
Luke Adams
12:52
I'd like to see Udoka get a shot. He's put in plenty of time as an assistant and he gets HC interviews every year. Let's see if he can do the job.

12:53
Will we ever see a third round of the draft, again?
Luke Adams
12:54
It's the sort of thing that would definitely make sense once every team has a G League affiliate. But it would have to be collectively bargained and I'm not sure the NBA or NBPA have it high on their wish list.
Thunder Fan
12:54
If Thunder get a #1 or 2 pick tonight, does Presti dive deep into the market and acquire real talent for next season?
Luke Adams
12:55
None of Presti's moves or quotes suggest there's any sense of urgency to push for a playoff spot in 2021/22. The time is coming when it'll make sense for OKC to start cashing in some of its assets, but it still feels at least a year away to me.
Donatas Motiejūnas
12:56
Do you believe Nets GM Sean Marks will kick the tires again on Otto Porter this offseason?
Luke Adams
12:56
If he's willing to sign a minimum-salary contract, sure.
Joshua
12:56
Do you think there is any merit to those Lakers and Westbrook rumors swirling. If not what types of trades do you see for the Lakers this offseason
Luke Adams
1:01
Don't really see a Lakers/Westbrook fit. But honestly, the Lakers' offseason is really hard to forecast because of how many free agents they have. Out of the group that includes Schroder, Caruso, THT, Morris, and Drummond, I don't see any that are locks to be back, but I imagine at least 2-3 will be. Wouldn't surprise me to see Kuzma and Harrell moved this summer.

Does NO respond to the challenge posed by Zion’s mouthpiece (family) and try to acquire better veteran help? Use their draft pick trove to move out Bledsoe and Adams, keep Ball, trade for deRozan in s&t?
Luke Adams
1:02
Moving Bledsoe and/or Adams will be a priority. They probably can't keep both Ball and Hart with those guys on the roster. With their extra picks from the AD and Holiday trades, the Pelicans are in a great position to grease the wheels on potential trades without leaving themselves short on first-rounders in the future. They should take advantage of that.
Thanks for all the questions today, guys. There were a lot I didn't get to, so apologies. Enjoy the lottery tonight, and we'll do this again next week!
