I don't think the first-round loss was his fault. You could certainly nitpick some of his lineup decisions and the way he used certain players, but the Clippers have a more talented roster than the Mavs.

Being a small market team what are some of the changes you could see the Grizzlies to get them more competitive. Also should the Gizz pick up Winslow's option.

I'd turn down Winslow's option. Even if you still believe in him, you have his Bird rights and could probably re-sign him at a more team-friendly price. As for other roster changes, the Grizzlies should take advantage of their depth and extra assets and shouldn't be hesitant to shop some of their young guys and draft picks for an impact player if the right one is available (Beal would be a fun fit there, though I don't see it happening).

There has been talk about potential major moves in Portland.  With the combination of McCollum’s size, age, contract, and injury issues do you think the Blazers could get enough back for him in a trade to make it worth it or is this the backcourt going forward?
Luke Adams
12:49
I think it'd be tough to get worthwhile value for McCollum. As you say, he'll be 30 this year, he's not a great defender, and he has $100MM over three years left on his deal. Maybe you could get a young prospect and a first-round pick for him from a team with cap flexibility, but I have a hard time finding a McCollum deal that gets the Blazers a win-now piece that immediately upgrades the roster.

I don't expect the Hornets to make major acquisitions this off season but I do hope for a little rim protection and more shooting.  Who could they target through either trade or free agency?
Luke Adams
12:51
Richaun Holmes should be at the top of their list if they go the free agent route. And I imagine they'll keep calling the Pacers about Myles Turner -- he'd be a great fit. If Serge Ibaka is healthy, he should be on their list. Nerlens Noel too.
Common Anomaly
12:52
Julius Randle and Obi Toppin were on the floor at the same time for a total of 39 minutes this season. In 62 games, Toppin averaged 11 minutes per game. Regardless if Randle signs an extension this offseason, with Tom Thibodeau as head coach, how do you foresee Toppin getting more playing time next season or do you believe the Knicks’ front office should see what type of offers Toppin in a package can bring back?
Luke Adams

Gauging Toppin's value on the trade market this offseason is certainly worthwhile. It may feel premature to give up on him, and they'd probably be selling low, but there's no guarantee that his value will rebound -- they don't want another Ntilikina/Knox situation.

If the BUCKS make a coaching change who would be the top candidates
Luke Adams
12:56
Darvin Ham has been considered a top up-and-coming candidate for a while, and promoting an assistant from within worked out for the Raptors and Nick Nurse. But I wonder if the Bucks would prefer someone with previous head coaching experience, with the belief that a "veteran" coach is needed to get them over the hump.
Mavs Man
12:56
What do you think about avoiding the 2nd/3rd superstar route and just building 3&D wings around Luka? The problem with Porzingis is he is supposed to be a 🦄 but just shoots set shots from 5 feet beyond the 3 pt line. So he negates all his size. I'd argue Serge Ibaka would have been a better fit for a fraction of the cost.
Luke Adams
12:58
I don't disagree with any of that. Good three-and-D wings aren't easy to find and don't come cheap, but I'm sure the Mavs will be on the lookout for them this summer. I wish they'd taken Saddiq Bey in last year's draft.
Lakers Suck
12:58
Are the Lakers making any serious moves this summer, like Lowry or a trade? Is Schroder worth 20 million plus for 4yrs to any team in the league? Would you pay?
Luke Adams
12:59
I wouldn't want Schroder at that price, but the Lakers are in a really tough spot with him. Letting him walk for nothing doesn't open up cap room to replace him with another $20MM player. Signing-and-trading him could work, but the Lakers probably won't be able to acquire anyone via sign-and-trade themselves due to a potential hard cap, so finding decent value will be tricky.
1:00
Lowry is probably unrealistic due to S&T restrictions unless he takes a sizeable discount.
Thanks for all the questions today, guys! A lot of good ones that I wasn't able to get to, but we'll do this again next week. Enjoy the conference semis this week!
