Do you think there is any chance Toronto rescinds the Leonard trade or they just going to wait it out?  When do think this gets resolved

As long as Kawhi doesn't face any sort of major penalty as a result of the Aspiration investigation, I expect that trade will be completed as planned. Even if he faces a suspension (I don't think this is all that likely), I suspect the Raptors would still be fully prepared to do the deal and may just want to try to take one or two of the draft assets out of the package.

Zlaire Williams to the Lakers, 1 year, 3 million

That's a minimum-salary deal for him. Nice move for the Lakers. They needed someone else who could defend wings and will add some youth and athleticism there.

What do you think of the Mavericks? They seem like they are stuck in the middle without a meaningful direction.

I like their direction as long as the 19-year-old who just won Rookie of the Year remains at the center of their plans.

It's not uncommon for a new front office to take some time to assess the pieces on its roster and not do anything too drastic within the first few months on the job, and I expect that'll be the case in Dallas, where it makes sense to see what this group looks like once Kyrie is healthy. I could see the Mavs making more decisive roster moves (either pursuing upgrades or selling off some veterans) at the deadline or next offseason.

Who will win rookie of the year?

Trying not to be too swayed by the very small Summer League sample, but Caleb Wilson should be well positioned to put up big numbers in Chicago. Though that's true of pretty much all of the top four guys. If I had to pick just one today, I might go with Boozer.

If Jalen Williams continues his health struggles, and Chet continues to shrink in big moments for the next full season, are the Thunder now exploring roster shakeups ultimately ending with either of those two somewhere else? I guess my inspiration/comparison would be Jaylen Brown…

Don't think it's out of the question -- it doesn't take long in the modern NBA for a player's or team's outlook to change significantly. I'm pretty confident in their ability to bounce back, but either way, OKC might have to face more tough decisions next offseason with Shai's super-max deal taking effect. They don't want to be in the second apron indefinitely.

Always need a question about Kuminga...  Where does he end up playing next season?  Any chance the Hawks can use him to fetch someone like Peyton Watson?  Or does he just eventually resign with the Hawks.....

I'm a little surprised that the Hawks seem so open to letting him go. Thought he was pretty solid for them down the stretch and in the playoffs and figured they'd turn down his team option to work out a new deal at a lower number.

Using him to try to get Watson would be very difficult -- a lot of cap/CBA complications in play there (base year compensation rules affecting Watson's matching salary, Nuggets not being able to take back a signed-and-traded player, etc.)

In general, a sign-and-trade seems like it'll be tricky to pull off, so it wouldn't shock me if he ends up back in Atlanta, but I wouldn't rule out the Lakers either. Seems like there's real mutual interest there if the Lakers can figure out a way to make it work.
Thanks for all the questions today, guys. Enjoy the rest of Summer League and have a great week! We'll do this again next Monday.
